-The Hobbit movies

While number 1 was very slow, #2 was great, well paced, lots of stuff going on. It didn't feel like a 2.5 hour film because it was really well done.

Not sure if people don't or do like them but for me:

Elysium - Neill Blomkamp film but was like his first big budget one and other than Jodie Foster's odd accent I thought it was great.

Starship Troppers - It was just a big recruitement ad for recruites as war propaganda. Plus the action was corny and CGI was pretty good for the era.

Hmm, pie.

Starship Troopers is ace. Never met anyone who has seen that film who didn't enjoy it.

Jupiter Ascending- not so great, but I love me some Sean Bean

Pirates of the Caribean: On Stranger Tides - I like it almost as much as the first one.

Love both of them

Very good movie, and really shows what war does to people

Additionally:

Doom: Not very much to do with the games, not much action in the first 2 thirds of the movie, but I like it anyway

Ironman 2: I actually find Ivan Vanko being the best villain in the MCU before Killmonger

The Star Wars prequels count?

Stardust and John Carter as well. To some extent, Jupiter Ascending as well, though it has less merits than the other two. Very underrated IMO.

Also, the Mario Bros. movie is OK to me.

Triangle - It’s a film about a group of friends who find an empathy cruise ship and decide to board it. Strange things start to happen and murders start recurring over and over. Everyone I recommend it to hate it but it’s one of my favorite films.

The Last Jedi - Rewatched it recently and didn’t love it as much as I did initially. Still a great movie. And let’s face it, though the originals are the technical marvels of their time, their vastly overrated.

Piranha 3D - Not a good film, but a fun film.

Blade 2 - Solid action film aside from that one really bad CGI fight scene.

No one hates on it really but it also doesn't ever get much respect. I'm talking about Willow. Precursor to what Lord of the Ring movies strived for in my opinion and it holds up pretty damn well even to this day. Also, Val Kilmer was like a god in the movie.

One of the first 3 films I saw when I moved to the US. Willow, Beetlejuice, and The Lost Boys. Jamie Gertz was my first Hollywood crush lol.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Dune from David Lynch comes to mind.
U Turn and Alexander from Oliver Stone.
Alien: Resurrection
Tron Legacy.

Tales from Earthsea from Ghibli.
