Jason Shreier said at Resetera that the release date of TF2 by chosen by Respawn themselves. 

Battlefield 1 was supposed to release earlier, but a delay caused it to land right in front of TF2.

Not to defend EA, but in that instance they might not actually be at fault.

No they 100% are. If BF1 got delayed they then should have launched Titanfall 2 in March or February instead of sending it out to die. The same with BFV. If it launched this March instead with the content released since launch and the battle royale day 1 I feel they'd sell way more copies at full price. Another disastrous choice.

I'm sure you haven't played it then. There are 8 characters and you only need to buy 2. The other one is are free off the bat. The 2 you need to buy can be earned in game. I've only played this game for 3 nights now and I can almost buy one of them. 

There's a ton of cosmetic stuff you can buy either with in game credits you earn or paid. This is fair as the devs need to make money. So don't diss this new smash hit without playing it first.

For me, pubg is still the better survival shooter. This is more polished and support from Respawn is excellent. It's already received 2 patches.. I think.
