Welcome everyone to a new uran10 pokemon competition, which is pretty much a rehash of an old competition only with some new pokemon! This tournament will feature all 827 pokemon (alolan forms are counted as their own) and will crown who is VGC's favourite pokemon of the first 7 generations of pokemon. Welcome to the Final round. We Started with 827 and now we are down to the final 8. Who will be VGC's Favourite Pokemon this time around!? Let's get a closer look at the Competitors and how they got here.
Mewtwo: Mewtwo was the first Pokemon to make it to the finals and is coincidentally the only Finalist from the Gen 6 edition to make it to this Gen's final. In the first round of competition Mewtwo, overcame fellow gen 6 finalist Ampharos and the ever popular Sceptile to dominate his first round and he was off to a rocket start. However in Round 2 Mewtwo went head to head against Lucario, going into round 2 Lucario came off of the only round in the competition where a pokemon got maximum points and not only did he beat Mewtwo in that round but he did it convincingly with a 13 point gap. This would Be Mewtwo's only defeat on his way to the final as he then entered round 3 Where he faced off against the Pokemon that won Last Gen's competition Gengar and he handily Defeated the Ghost type by 7 points while securing himself a top seed going into the semi final round. Here he had his fated rematch against at this point one of the few undefeated Pokemon remaining in the competition and the only Pokemon to have gotten ahead of him, Lucario. Not only did he managed to Defeat Lucario but by a stunning turn of events Lucario was also beaten by fellow finalist Squirtle who only lost to Mewtwo by 1 point. Can Mewtwo Finally win the Ultimate Pokemon Competition or will he be 0 - 2 after making it to the finals twice?
Squirtle: One of the Kanto starters and one of the strongest competitors in this competition this time around. In the first round Squirtle didn't break a sweat as it utterly destroyed the competition and easily made it to round 2. In Round 2 he went up against Venusaur and many other Pokemon but once again none of them proved to be a competition for squirtle and he once again dominated the round, winning once again by more than 20 points over the nearest competitor. In Round 3 however squirtle's reign of terror would come to an end at the hands of Typhlosion. The Johto starter defeated squirtle by 1 point and put him in 2nd place advancing however squirtle did also manage to beat out his evolved form Wartortle who was third behind him. In the Semi final Round Squirtle went up against the likes of Mewtwo, Typhlosion, Greninja and Lucario, very popular pokemon who had been dominating the competition. However this time around things were very different for squirtle as not only did he handily defeat Typhlosion who just in the previous round defeated him, he also managed to hold off both Greninja and Lucario while giving Mewtwo a run for his money. Can the Kanto Starter overcome the powerful Mewtwo and the other competitors to become Gen 7's champion?
Pikachu: The Series Mascot and surprisingly the only undefeated Pokemon here in the finals, Does this mean that he'll walk out the champion? In the first round in an explosive showing Pikachu got an impressive 55 points beating out Mew and Scyther who each had 41 and also beating out his alolan evolved form. In round 2 Pikachu had a tough round going head to head against the electrical eeveelution Jolteon. Both Pokemon gained 40+ points but it was Pikachu who barely won with 42 points in that round. In Round 3 Pikachu had to fight fellow Kanto starter Charmander and once again it was the narrowest of victories where the electric rat Pokemon defeated the fire lizard by 1 point. However that was the closest Pikachu ever came to being defeated as he won his semi final round handily beating out the 2nd place Blastoise and even defeating last Year's champion Gengar. Can Pikachu be the undefeated king?
Blastoise: Blastoise is the only Finalist in the competition who has never won a round, yet here he is in the final round. In round 1 Blastoise Finished behind Lapras, Fellow finalist Rayquaza, and Treecko to advance in the 4th position to round 2. In round 2 Blastoise finished in a tie for 2nd with Sceptile, being defeated by Typhlosion. In round 3 Blastoise would lose out to the at the time undefeated Lucario and Garchomp to settle for the 3rd place advancement spot, ahead of Salamence. And finally in the semi final round Blastoise was defeated by Pikachu but managed to narrowly beat out past champion Gengar as well as fan favourite Arcanine to secure his spot in the finals. Can Blastoise overcome the odds and finally put a W on his card, the single most important W of them all.
Rayquaza: One of the weather trio and the only non Kanto Pokemon in the final round. In Round 1 Rayquaza was defeated by only Lapras by roughly 7 points. However he managed to beat out Fellow finalist Blastoise as well as treecko for the 2nd spot. In Round 2 however, Rayquaza's luck changed. He was matched up against last year's champion and put an end to Gengar's undefeated streak (if you count this as an extension to the last competition) . In a dominating fashion Rayquaza bested Gengar and went into round 3 where he was once against bested. This time by fellow finalist Bulbasaur, the powerful greninja and Mudkip. He narrowly advanced to the semi final in the 4th spot. However it was then where things would change. He was Once again up against the undefeated Bulbasaur, the Pokemon that had defeated him in the previous round as well as Mudkip. However Rayquaza did the unthinkable and Managed to beat out the best performing kanto starter to this point by 1 point securing his spot in the final. Can Rayquaza keep ahead of bulbasaur, and will that be enough for him to win the greatest prize of them all?
Bulbasaur: The Grass Kanto starter and the most consistent competitor in this competition. In the first round of competition Bulbasaur beat out both Feraligatr and Totodile for the #1 spot and did it by a huge Margin. In what would be the most popular round in the entire competition this far bulbasaur scored a massive 85 points almost 30 points ahead of the nearest competitor totodile. In Round 2 Bulbasaur Domination continued as he once again dominated his round. Beating out Celebi, Dragonair and Salamence, with a massive 67 points. Over 20 points ahead of the 2nd place Dragonair. In round 3 Bulbasaur's impressive showing continued as he defeated his final evolved form Venusaur along side Greninja, Mudkip and Fellow finalist Rayquaza in a dominating Fashion once again. Bulbasaur seemed to be unstoppable as he even secured himself a seeded position going into the semi final round. However it was there where the unstoppable bulbasaur was upset by the Pokemon he had just beaten a round ago Rayquaza. Coming back form behind Rayquaza closed the gap that had been established early by Bulbasaur and managed to defeat him by 1 point. Will This round be another defeat for Bulbasaur or will the grass starter prove once again that he is better than Rayquaza and that he can be the #1 pokemon not just in pokedex number but overall.
Charizard: The fan favourite fully evolved Kanto starter Pokemon that everyone has a love hate relationship with after Ash's Charizard in the anime. In Dominating Fashion Charizard destroyed his competitors in round 1 beating out Aggron by 10 points to secure himself a victory heading into round 2. Charizard had a much tougher time in round 2 but still managed to beat out Kalos starter Greninja narrowly to secure himself the #1 spot in round 2 and a spot in round 3. This is where Charizard first met up with fellow finalist Pidgeot. Charizard once again Narrowly defeated the bird Pokemon and Secured himself a seeded position going into the semi final round where he once again clashed with Pidgeot. In a very close and tight competition between the two Charizard would tie with Pidgeot and go into the final round almost undefeated. Can Charizard Shake off Pidgeot and go on to become the Champion?
Pidgeot: The Original early game bird Pokemon fully evolved. Pidgeot easily flew to victory in round 1 defeating Alolan starter Decidueye by 8 points. Pidgeot would go on to dominate umbreon and many other Pokemon in round 2 by gaining a massive 60 points, 21 points more than the closest competitor in the round. In Round 3 however Pidgeot met up with fellow finalist Charizard and was defeated by 5 Points. However he would get very close to getting revenge on Charizard in the semi final round where they would both tie for the #1 spot with 41 points. Can Pidgeot complete it's revenge on Charizard all the while claiming the ultimate gold for itself?
