Forums - Gaming Discussion - SQUARE ENIX's Not Metal Gear releases next month. Is it on anybodies radar?

Left Alive is due out a Month from today. SE's attempt at cashing in on a Metal Gear at a time when the future of the series is not currently clear. I am always up for more stealth games but the more I see of the game, the more underwhelming it looks and honestly, its the method marketing that is dragging the interest down. We have yet to see a strong demonstration of the game.

From what I have seen this is probably the best thing in terms of marketing the game in strong way

This is the most recent marketing of the game; get Shinji Hashimoto, someone who obviously does not know what he's doing to play the game.

Yet again, someone who does not know what he's doing except is playing the game.

The most stand out thing to me is the crappy A.I. Stealth games live and die by how developed the A.I. is and the enemies here act like the cousins of enemies in the Tenchu series.

Watched 1st vid, looks good but to be frank honest, Im kinda tired of this kind of games though. Literally every AAA action games let u stealth, choices let u to go rambo etc.
The most interesting thing, the Mechs, barely touched.

This and Sekiro are on my watch but I need to finish Spiderman, some PSN games and gt KH3 at some point.

Hmm, pie.

Wait what the fuck? It releases that soon?

I thought that Square Enix was trying to make this the next big thing?

The first two trailers were cool:

The weird thing about it is ... this isn't even that out of the norm for Square Enix's repertoire in terms of style. The whole cyberpunk-esq futurism thing has been done before by them, a lot of their games including their JRPGs include them. And with the demand for a Metal Gear solid experience, I have no idea why they're not capitalizing on this by making a heavily marketed good game. This just looks mediocre and the marketing isn't great.

2nd video has mech gameplay, but the person playing sucks.

If stealth games had proper AI then stealth games wouldn't exist.
