Maybe I’m not seeing it, but is there a way to look at weekly hardware chart without browsing through forum threads?

Having an easy way to see the hardware figures is being worked on, along with a lot of other things. However, for now you can use this link

Thanks for the heads up.

Do you have one like it for software numbers?

Some days I just blow up.

The missing software figures for 2018 was not on purpose. It is an issue that is still needs resolving. However, as has been stated there will be no new software figures for starting in 2019. Any previous software figures from VGChartz are not going anywhere.

We are working on adding shipment and official figures from publishers and developers to the GameDB. Individual game pages will have the figures posted and on the main GameDB page there will be a new column that lists shipment figures.

Well I hope that's done soon then.

I hope it is done soon as well. We are a small team and this sort of stuff takes time.

It's amazing how prolific digital sales have become, so that you can't accurately track sales. I wonder if console sales will soon follow?

No, because there's no such thing as a "digital" console.  Even if it's bought digitally (online), the purchaser still gets a physical item which can be tracked.  A digital software purchase, however, does not include any physical item and that is why it can't be tracked like a disc or cartridge.

What about the preorders chart? Will there ever be a new one or are you guys not doing them anymore?

Sorry that sarcasm was supposed to be detectable. I tried to write it so that the post acknowledged that that the only reason this is happening is due to digital downloads. Obviously nobody can download hardware :)
