Naughty dawg games don't have good stories.
Gaming media constantly push bad and cliche stories as good because they want to be artsy
Tropical freeze is the only good Donkey kong country game (jungle beat is the best donkey kong game)
Super mario 3d world is by far the best 3d mario game
Conkers bad fur sucked
Journey sucked
Dark Souls isn't hard
Pikmin is the best Nintendo series besides zelda

Naughty Dog's PS1-PS2 titles are better than their modern games.

Breath of the wild is a great game but overrated.

Skyrim is more fun than Oblivion

Final fantasy XII is one of the greatest RPG's ever made

Sonic '06 isn't that bad.

How far did you get in it?  Is there a third level??  I couldn't get any further than James Rolfe.

I beat Sonic and Shadow's story, but I could never beat Silver's due to boredom. The point I want to make is that most of what I played was very enjoyable. Even the buggiest levels just make me laugh (especially that castle level)! The game has a good soundtrack, decent graphics, and the level design can occasionally be kinda good.

Oh nice!  Thanks for the reply  (sorry I don't log on too much lately, especially since the charts aren't updating.)

this seems fun here i go.
-code veronica is better than re2(original, still have to play the new one)
-silent hill 1 and 3 are just as good as 2
-earthbound and panzer dragoon saga are the most overrated jrps of all time
-chrono trigger is great but it is not the masterpiece the internet says it is
-final fantasy 7 is still the best game ever(please don't hate me)
-mario 3 is far better than world
-mario 64 is still the best 3d mario game
-the psp is a great system with an amazing library
-bloodborne is a boring grind fest
-the fat ps3 is amazing you can play ps1,ps2 and ps3 games with it
-the nintendo switch had an amazing start but has gone downhill since and the future doesn't look very bright, typical nintendo since n64(ouch)
-zelda games are great but it's the most overrated franchise in gaming especially with critics, most games are the same

Great post.  Very interesting.

PSP and Vita deserve way more credit for sure.

I do like Odyssee better than SM64, but I guess it's not fair because I beat that back in '96 and never played it again LOL!

I wanted to know what your comparison between FFVII and FFVI is?  Thanks

I think a lot of people think that actually. This is one of those couple of games that has achieved a certain 'legendary status', including games like FFVII, Chrono Trigger, Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Symphony of the Night, GTAIII, Resident Evil IV, Shadow of the Colossus and whatnot.

-mario 3 is far better than world

Definitely agree. Mario World feels 'floaty' (and I mean also outside the balloon power-up ) while Mario 3 is perfect.

-mario 64 is still the best 3d mario game

Also definitely agree, though the standard in this series is so astronomical it's not really a knock on the other games.

-the psp is a great system with an amazing library

Funny, I never got one because there were literally zero games I was interested in, even Vita had one (Uncharted).

-the fat ps3 is amazing you can play ps1,ps2 and ps3 games with it

Agree, I didn't see the point in getting another one.

-the nintendo switch had an amazing start but has gone downhill since and the future doesn't look very bright, typical nintendo since n64(ouch)

Let's hope not.

-zelda games are great but it's the most overrated franchise in gaming especially with critics, most games are the same

Then you should play more, because this is factually untrue. There aren't a lot of series where games are so radically different between them as Zelda is.

The people burned on the stakes weren't Wiccans, as Wicca didn't exist back then. I agree though that innocent people were burned over some brainless hysteria.

I know that. I'm saying the whole "Witches is teh evul, RREEEEEEE!!!!!" thing was created to suppress female healers from pre-Christian faiths.

No it wasn't. Witch prosecutions only became big in the early modern times, long after any remains of old religion and traditions in Europe had faded away.

Final fantasy VI Kefka is not a great villain, his lore and backstory and explanation for him being evil is effortless.

I don't see a reason for these walking simulator games. A great story doesn't need a video game if its just walking around and interacting with stuff. Write a book or make a movie instead. Fun gameplay is always what developers should strive for. A good story doesn't make your game replayable, gameplay does.

What  games are examples of what you´re talking about?

An unpopular opinion of mine is that, while Zelda is one of my favorite franchises, I find Breath of the Wild too boring. It was one of my most anticipated games but just didn´t click with me.One of my biggest gaming disappointments.
