7 of the 10m sellers on Wii were also 20m sellers though while only 3 on DS were 20m sellers also on 360 VGC has only 9 10m sellers what is the 10th?

I just went down the line for 10m+ and it said 10, but it appears Minecraft is in 8th place with 9.82m. Regardless Minecraft is for sure passed 10m.

Or maybe it didn't as it was also selling on other platforms so who knows but that's an assumption at best which can't really be used to help your point unless we can get a source confirming 10m.

The assumption that it didn't would be far more ridiculous. Even taking it at face value of 9.82m physical sales, would only leave 180k for digital sales to make up. But physical is also far higher than VGC says. GameSpot announced in December 2012 that Minecraft sold over 4.48 million copies since the game debuted on Xbox Live Arcade in May 2012

But anyways.

As of 4 April 2014, the Xbox 360 version has sold 12 million copies.

Those sales would be counted in the VGC total though as the game launched only on XBLA at the time that was the announced sales by Notch back then before a retail version showed up to make up the rest of the sales that VGC that's still an assumption.

Where did you get the April 2014 numbers from?

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-04-04-minecraft-xbox-360-edition-sales-hit-12m

Selected quotes:

"The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft has now sold an astonishing 12m copies."

"Minecraft's total sales across all platforms are somewhere near 40m - (12m on Xbox 360, 14.7m on PC, more than 10m on mobile and at least 1m on PlayStation 3"

From other wiki sources later it hit  "As of 10 October 2014, the game has sold 17 million copies on PC, becoming the best-selling PC game of all time.[208] As of 10 October 2014, the game has sold approximately 60 million copies across all platforms, making it one of the best-selling video games of all time"

This happened after PS4/XB1 launches and before PSV launch, but the majority was still 360, PC, mobile and PS3 sales.

And lastly "As of January 2018, over 154 million copies had been sold across all platforms"

Would like to hear from one of those who voted No as to why they think it won't get 6 or more additional 10m+ sellers from here on out.

Animal Crossing and Pokemon 2019 will likely be the next two to earn that title. If another Mario game gets released, it will be up there too, along with the next Zelda title, which although unseen has been confirmed for a while now. NSMBU DX is already on track to hit 10+ million this year as well

So thats 5 right there, and knowing Nintendo, they have something else up their sleeve thats sure to hit big

Pokémon is likely to be annual, gen 8,second version, let's go johto, sinoh remake, gen 9. I think not every iteration would reach, but 3 of them. Mario maker 2 would reach too. Party, nsmbu might as well. AC is a given.

But I hope they create a new or licensed ip that has the 10M potential. Would be more interesting.

Well, I may be counting my chickens before they hatch here, but I think we can add at least one more on the guaranteed list:

Yeah Mario Maker 2 will almost definitely make it.

Looking back, I was way to conservative when I made this thread, Switch could possibly have more 10 million plus sellers than any other console to date.
