Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft 2019 Super Bowl Ad: We All Win

It's a thoughtful product, and good on MS for bringing it to market, but the ad feels more like a charity ad then a gaming ad. I mean an entire 2 minute spot and no games shown whatsoever?

It's more a PR exercise then an advertising campaign. They are looking to improve the image of their brand rather then make straight sales of this product. Obviously it will help it sell but it's a niche market.

As far as PR campaigns go this is a very good one.

Kerotan is hands down the most pathetic piece of shit I have ever encountered in a video game forum... and that should say a lot.

This soulless wretch wakes up every morning just to praise Sony and shit on Microsoft.

How insecure can a human being be?

To come to a thread like this, to dog a video about disabled children to further his smear campaign against Microsoft... it's beyond pitiful.

Kerotan, you poor pathetic slob, take a look in mirror and ask yourself what went wrong.

How meaningless is your life if this is what you choose to do with it?

May God have mercy on your wretched existence, you miserable, small, insignificant cunt.

Please keep these type of responses out of this thread. There's no need to come in here to incite. This is great ad with an even better message. Let's try not to mud that up.  It's pretty disrespectful.

I'm studying PR in college atm so I found this interesting from that point of view. We were discussing the negative reaction to the Gillette advert last week and I suspect next week we'll be talking positively about this. I'm also studying advertising and marketing so we discuss the differences between pr and advertising campaigns. This seems more PR than advertising going by the first few weeks of my course.

Obviously posters view my post as console wars but it's really not and need to stop viewing everything so black and white.

As someone who has a child with special needs, this is great! Brought a tear to my eye.

Jeez...I started tearing up at that commercial. That's just so damn awesome. It's really inspiring to see young people who find so much joy in gaming. I'm glad this controller lets them (and many others) get the most out of the experience :)

Im not go8ngbto ignore such a great post bluntness needs to be rewarded not punished

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

So is this post a class project?

Amazing ad for an amazing product!

Thread Warning:

And just to be absolutely clear, I don't want to see any console war nonsense in this thread at all, I don't want to see comments about where the games are or some ulterior motivations for Microsoft's reasoning for this ad. This is an amazing ad, for an amazing product that greatly benefits the disabled and that's what this thread is about. Anything along the lines of what I mentioned above is just completely insensitive, unneeded and only serves to ruin an great thread with an amazing message behind it.

Please ignore the alt too, It'd be hugely unfortunate if this thread gets ruined.

This is obviously directed at me. Read my other post. I'm studying pr and advertising along with marketing atm. This advert is very well done and I'll be bringing it up in class if the opportunity arrives although if one of the lectures comes across this they'll probably bring it up first. It's very well made, in good faith and it feels genuine. Nothing negative from me but obviously me being me certain posters will take it the wrong way. I've clarified now so there's no need for confusion.

That was a great ad, kudos to Microsoft for not only creating a fantastic product but also marketing it this way.

Well atleast not only the players win

Great Ad! I remember there was a way to buy and donate these controllers, very cool. Everyone deserves to game.
