Agree 100%. You don't like that a product is risque? Don't buy it. Instead we have a minority bitching about it loudly, making companies think they are the majority. Or the company heads just agree with their stance/politics. Then, they change the product to adhere to those views, it turns off half, or even the majority, of the fanbase, while the ones bitching never intended to buy the product anyway.

Get woke, go broke is a real thing. It's happening to SW and Marvel comics. May even happen to MCU, depending on how they go about their next phase. And while the numbers aren't out, yet, I doubt Gillette did anything to help bolster their marketshare with that woke ad. Dollar Shave Club must have seen a major uptick in new customers for them to feel the need to tweet about it a day or two later. Eguard did a great ad opposing the Gillette one and saw so many new orders, even though their cheapest watch is $155, that they are giving $10,000 to charity and there is going to be a big delay in shipping.

He speaks of the "reee" crowd and going woke.  Those are both terms referring to the SJWs on the Left.  And the things he lists, SW and Marvel comics, aren't doing so hot because they have been trying to pander to that crowd, instead of their core fanbase. 

@ bold, that may have been true decades ago, but for the last decade or so, it has been the SJWs crying for censorship of both thought and speech because opposition to their own beliefs triggers them.

Puritanism is not exclusive to the right or left. The difference is that now the left is just as much a part of it as the right, for different reasons but it all goes back to censorship and it isn't good in the slightest. 

Glad I'm not the person who only owns a PS4 as a way to play games. Imagine playing NekoPara 1-3 and NOT being able to buy the 18+ edition.

1. Make a game with 3D models that are based on women that are 18+ but don't quite look it. Have these women come into your office and do the mocap. Also have these women pose for photographs so, that your 3D artists can reference them to model their likenesses into your game.

2. Publish game to PS4.

3. When Sony bans your game take them to court, and prove that all your models were based off of real life people that were 18+.

I stopped reading Marvel Comics a few years back because of the bad writing. Hickman was a great FF writer, but took the Avengers back to everything that made them suck in the 90's. He expanded the roster to 30+ characters, most of which I'd never even heard of. Bendis wrote himself into a corner with all the time travel shenanigans in the X-Men. And with the X-Men split up between two teams that hate each other, there's no way for the original group to get back together.

Now there's a Hispanic Ghost Rider, a black female Iron Man, a Chinese Hulk, and a female Thor (Female Thor is supposed to be a good comic though).Oh, and Captain America was a secret Nazi for a while. Except that got retconned.

For the past couple months, P&G, the company that owns Gillette, has been hanging around the same area, with ups and downs.  It went to 96.64 a share in mid-Dec and is at 93.6, now.  But, stocks a company does not make.  It needs customers.  And if Gillette reveals that sales are even just 5%-10% lower in their Jan-Mar quarter, those stocks are going to drop along with them.

Sorry, but if you think the Right is just as much a part of it now then, say, the 70s and 80s, then you are dead wrong.  The Right aren't the ones interrupting when Leftist speakers come to colleges, some even rioting, to get their speeches/visits cancelled.  The Right aren't the ones who want the "sexualization of women" in video games to stop.  Or throw out the blanket terms of racism/misogyny/sexism to shut down critics or political opponents.  Saying opposition triggers them, so it must be shut down.  A lot of the Right have actually moved to being more Libertarian in the past decade or so.  They just want to be left alone and not be forced to accept or take part in the insanity that has been taking place.

When it comes to games made for a more general audience I can honestly understand censorship but more often than not it seems like the games that get censored is Japanese stuff that's made for a very specific crowd. It's like when Nintendo was big into censorship a few years back, I'm buying a game about Japanese pop stars turning into fire emblem characters and fighting demons anyone that can say that sentence without going wtf isn't going to be offended by anime titties
