Forums - Gaming Discussion - Kingdom Hearts III MetaCritic: 85!

So we've got our first rage-bait article from VideoGamer, who gave this game a 40 in what I would assume is a bid to get rage clicks. This drops the score from 88 to 86.

Yep, you have always one, or almost, for any great Game.

After the troll/clickbait review from our friends at VideoGamer, we got a 90/100 from Twinfinite :

""Kingdom Hearts 3 makes a strong case for being the best game in the series, and you can simply see quality behind the game’s development, whether or not you’re invested in the story.

For fans, it’s bound to be a harrowing, emotional journey, but it just doesn’t hold the same appeal to newcomers, although it’s not completely inaccessible.

An overwhelming amount of combat options and slightly disappointing difficulty can’t hold Kingdom Hearts 3 back from achieving the highs it does.

It’s an unerring tribute to everything Disney and what the Kingdom Hearts series has become, and despite its few flaws creates an interesting blueprint for where the series could go next with gameplay and story.""

Score: 4.5/5 – Great

I've been playing it for a bit. I like it so far but I have issues. Right now I would give it about a 7.5 for certain reasons. 1: Performance issues. I am getting framerate dips and it is noticeable. Second, this games story is not for those who only went by the regular numbers. 1 and 2. Third, the combat is getting a bit stale for me. Maybe it's me but I don't remember it feeling this outdated. Everything else is fine. Oh and this is probably just me but the camera disorients me sometimes.

Off Topic :  Was Mattel Intellivision you first gaming console ? :)

I just noticed the pic of the game pad.    I loved that console, and almost every game.  I made the Italian national record at Beamrider, and I was just a kid, I think 13 years old, more or less :)

About KH3, some love it, some like it but without the wow factor; the beauty of taste and opinions.  I'm playing it on my PRO, and for the time being it's a solid 9 from me.

The Intellivision was not my first gaming console. I would say my first gaming system was the Commodore 64. I collected it later though.

I am playing it on the Xbox One X.

We might have a new Console called "Amico" from Intellivision, coming late 2020 :)

I beat it on PS4 Pro and never noticed a dip, so I'm not sure how to address this?

I mean, 2 wasn't for people going by the numbers, either. It was confusing as hell if you didn't play Chain of Memories. People need to accept that Kingdom Hearts isn't a trilogy.

If combat is stale, I recommend trying different Keyblades to mix it up. Also try playing with magic more often, since situational commands are the only way to access the -za spells.

Let's not link to troll reviews, okay? They're doing it for attention and clicks, which they get when we rage at them.

The Link is from Twinfinite review(9/10-4.5/5), not from the "troll" review :)

Did you play it in 1080p only? Otherwise I have a hard time believing that.

Does that mean I have to play the phone games too? This franchise has become inaccessible because of stuff like this. And buying a refresher collection is just.... ugh.

I have done what you're describing. Apart from the attraction stuff, it comes off as samey to me. Maybe familiar is good, but I was also never a fan of it in the earlier games. So that's on me.
