You can tell resolution is cut back alot, and the frame rates are lower (or theres just abit of choppiness to the animations).
Its not the youtube compression, because the menu box's look fine.

However apart from dialed back resolution, it looks very much like the PS4 version, its just a slightly more blurry game.

Yeah, I see it. Consider that, while there isn't YouTube compression, this certainly comes from a stream, so some of the choppiness could be attributed to it.



My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Yeah thats true, its not direct feed, and theres also abit of compression from youtube.... so the game will probably look abit better than this.
Though the menu box's looking smooth and well, compaired to the character models, does seem to imply that its not just all due to that.
They probably had to dial back resolution quite a bit to get it running.

Looks fine to me, but I already own it on another platform so won't double dip. Switch owners are in for a treat though.

looks good. i Just finish the ps4 version so i don't think i will buy it, unless they add new worthwhile content

Someone made a thread earlier why Dragon Quest hasn't achieved major sales and caught on in the West. I give you exhibit A. I'm sure that people who enjoy it really enjoy it, but that is some niche animation style and I have no desire to play it.

This will be my first DQ game since Dragon Warrior 3 (I think?) on the Game Boy. Looking forward to it!

Looks quite a lot inferior to the PS4 version, and even more compared to PC.

I'd describe it to be pretty much the same as the PS4 version... but with several layers of dust over it. It doesn't look bad, though. Is it confirmed for the west?
