Forums - Sony Discussion - Kojima visits Guerrilla Games to show Death Stranding to the team

Guerrilla guys were very cool to approach Kojima asap back then.
Their Decima engine is amazing, and it's nice to see a guy so talented have such great tools, support and comfort to work to his heart's content.
I'm honestly not hyped for Death Strading, I need to know a damn lot more to even get hyped, but I'm happy for both Guerrilla and Kojima.
Guerrilla has really come up to walk alongside the big guys, Horizon was such a massive start, hope Death Stranding turns out great as well.

Guerrilla games didn't approach Kojima, after the split , Kojima and Mark Cerny who's friendship with Kojima goes wayback went on a worldwide tour of Sony studios looking at various tech and then settled on Decima engine , he stated that even though  Horizon's artistic vision was very different than what he envisioned for Death stranding , Decima ticked off the boxes  guerrilla then handed over the engine code and Kojima has a small team inserted at Guerrilla to facilitate engine development from Guerilla's end and He mentioned his engineers send back engine refinements and changes they make to guerilla and vice versa. http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2016/01/feature_what_did_we_learn_from_hideo_kojimas_sony_tech_tour

That area in the HZD clip didn't make it into the 2017 release or DLC. Looks quite similar to some of the area shown in DS. GG's use of Decima in HZD no doubt inspired Kojima.

I'm in an interesting spot with this. Intrigued about what the final product is going to give us,but have been absolutely bored and underwhelmed by everything they've shown so far

Lots of style, very little substance...

That's my takeaway from this game's trailers...

Kojima in pretty good shape. Great pecs for a 55 year old.

so this shows me that kojima was always pro Sony since the ps1 era and it was konami that forced him to put games on other platforms. glad sony managed to get this man on their side for an exclusive

Lol that doesn't make sense. He's probably showing this to guerrilla games because he's using their engine for Death Stranding.

where did i say he went there because of another reason than showing them the game made with their engine? im saying kojima loves sony and favors them over any other platform this is why sony is helping kojima with his post konami career and why almost every metal gear solid game was a PS exclusive for a certain amount of the decade all that changed ehen konami got greedy and started trying to make the series into something bloated for multiplatforms. kojima was not the reason metal gear solid ended up on the xbox. Sony took action and will rake in success thanks to Kojima and them working hand in hand which is why guerrilla knew it was a great idea to provide Kojima with their top of the line game engine.

Kojima = Sony for a long time

They must show us some gameplay sequence from the first 2 hours that Kojima played; it's really time to show some substance, the wait is becoming too long.

I'd honestly be surprised of Kojima made another game that wasn't on a Sony console. He just seems to get along with them better than pretty much anywhere else. Then again, I also wouldn't be surprised if Kojima Productions becomes a first-party Sony studio, or at least a de facto first party studio, kinda like Game Freak is with Nintendo.

It's only a matter of time before Sony buys Kojima Productions.

Hideo Kojima has enriched my life with Metal Gear Solid 1-4. I love the philosophy and psychology in his games. "Death Stranding" = Day 1 !!!
