Wrong,it is most common in Judaism and Islam but it also exist in Christianity at different rates depending on the country.

Exist yes (in the US for some unique cultural reason) but not required and I have not heard a christian making an religious argument for it.

I'm telling you that i know christians that are circumsized because it is motivated by their religion, not more and not less.(that was my first post that did not say anything about requirement, and still you are wrong about that)

Christianity has a lot of different branches with different practices and some of those involve circumcision, particulary in african countries.

Mutilation.. Yeah right. I have read many horror stories of bad hygiene as a result of non circumcision. Hygiene and infections. He will be much better off circumcised.

I mean.. Just clean the damn thing. It's not rocket science. And it's not like it's the 1400s or something, modern-day society offers easy ways of cleaning. Women can clearly do it without many issues, why not men?

I recommend you cut off his toes as well, makes it much easier to clean his feet.

And considering how important people hold sex and sexuality in this world, I'm shocked that this isn't even more contested than it already is. I'm glad it's banned in Germany, now I hope it'll be banned in the rest of the civilized world, too.

It's not very contested across the world PRECISELY because the world is not actually civilized. Civilization is but a veneer that will crack easily at almost anything as demonstrated time and again across human history.

Humans are ignorant, violent, prejudiced etc and worst of all arrogant. They don't learn from their past mistakes. They are disconnected from nature and they love to impose their culture no matter how barbaric and counter-natural it may be. Circumcision is a very good example of this. People are SO BRAINWASHED by the culture of circumcision that they even consider it the normal state of the human body, they become incapable of asking the very basic question: If that part of the body is not normal or not supposed to be there then WHY are we born with it? And that shows the dangers of what I call: CULTURAL BRAINWASHING. Where something unnatural is accepted as the norm so much that the natural state of the body is viewed by those people as being weird or disgusting or non socially acceptable.

It's much easier to mutilate kids than to teach them what they need to know about their bodies. That way one avoids talking about certain issues, explaining how to be clean down there etc. Cause nudity and sex are the big monsters, the big demon, the big evil. Not mutilation, not violence, not war, all those things are perfectly fine in our so called civilized societies. Video games demonstrate this perfectly: It's very common to kill, murder and torture but nudity, sex? That actually shocks people in those rare instances where sex appears in video games. If that does not show how disconnected we are from nature, nothing does!

Anyway, long story short, what I mean to say here is, I'm amazed to hear that circumcision is banned in Germany. I have little to no faith in mankind, but if what you say is true, then I must tip my hat at Germany. You guys are morally ahead of others when it comes to this topic and I applaud you!

How often do you think men do a good job on proper cleaning their balls and penis, circumsised?? You think they'll be in there everyday with a non circumsized penis doing all that extra work between the foreskin ? What about from a woman's perspective and a night of oral on a non circumsised penis? Or the fact sex  pleasurable with a circumsided penis?  Who here has ever seen a non circumsized penis on porn?

Don't know why this thread got resurrected but I'm glad to read the OP didn't go through with it. A healthy child should never be mutilated unless it's a life or death reason. American culture needs to change in this regard.

Outside our bubble of the US it's actually very very common..

And I don't quite see how any of this answers the question of why men can't just simply take the 30 seconds to clean the thing. You literally just retract the foreskin and clean it. A 10 year old can figure it out as long as they're taught properly.

As far as the pleasure sensation, I've only heard that, for the vast majority of men, it's like 10x more sensitive when uncut..

It's odd to me that some seem to get defensive about this bizarre practice of chopping up parts of genitals. Goes to show you the power of tradition and religious practice I s'pose..
