Nice post! Everything will depend on how much time Nintendo plans to keep NS alive with games support and revisions!

Wow can't believe it hit 30 mil in 2018. I thought it'd only make it to 28 million in 2018. 50 million end of 2019 is almost guaranteed. I definitely see a 20+ million year this year considering software lineup should be much stronger throughout the year and a price cut and new hardware version are pretty much confirmed. And its starting the year with Pokemon/Smash/NSMB momentum.

30m sold through in under 2 years with no price cut either, shipments are pretty much guaranteed to surpass N64 numbers by the end of FY 2018 next FY I can see NS passing the SNES especially with AC and Pokemon Gen 8 turning up. Will update as numbers come through. My prediction for NS has it finishing above GBA but below Wii.

Yep.

Switch should have a 20m+ year in 2019.

By end of next year it ll probably look like:

Switch ~50-51m
Xbox One ~51-52m
PS4 ~108-109m

Whats crazy to think about is that in 2020, early into the year, it will pass by the xbox one in sales.
Its 3rd year, will basically be on equal footing to the 6th of the xbox one's.

I'm banking on Switch ending up just above the Wii, but well short of the DS.

Will have updated shipment numbers tomorrow from the third quarter results.

It might even pass XBOne by the end of 2019, I'm not confident XBOne can do 10+ mil.without a major price cut on XBOneX.

Yeah that was from before ZhugeEX, came out and said XB1 was at ~41m.
Back then VGCz had it at 43m+, so I think your right, in 2019 the Switch will pass the Xbox One.

Should be getting last quarter's numbers in just over a week from now shipments at this point would have passed the N64 while VGC even has numbers above the N64 will update when the official numbers are out, next milestone would be the SNES mean while the 3DS is winding down but is not even that far from the GBA total tbh.

Does anybody know what the totals for Software sold on Switch is?
