Would you like to see the PS4 2017 vs. 2018 comparison in this thread

Yes 17 53.13%

No 15 46.88%

2019, should easily beat 2018. not only that lineup will be much stronger but Switch will this year most likely have price cut and revision.
Switch in 2018. sold 3.5m, in 2019. in worst case should be sell at least 4+m.

Looks like it will be an easy win for 2019.

Why only Switch and not PS4 btw?

2019 will definitely be above 2018. In fact I think it will be up YoY for every single week this year, except maybe the ones corresponding to Pokemon and Smash launch. So at least 50 weeks up YoY is what I predict.

Switch was lacking a lot of system sellers during most of 2018, with price cut and the games we know of rn, pretty sure Switch will be up this year.
Also, PS4 had some huge titles last year to compete but i think it will fade this year. KH3 is far from being MHW

I don't really know. I just decided to focus on Switch for the time being since that's the more interesting one to watch for. I may do add a PS4 comparison later down the road. But for now, I'm just focusing on the Switch for the time being.

Edit: I'll include a poll option to see if everyone would like to see the PS4 included. Though I think I may know the answer already.

Well, if Gen 8 launches on the same week as Let's Go, then I think this year may be up as well.
Smash week though, yeah, that will likely be down.

Week 2 numbers have been added. 2019 is off and running to start the year, extending its lead to nearly 100k.

If they could get a new stable baseline at 55K minimum per week, it would be fine for them.
