I said 3-4m. Not sure it will be the best selling Yoshi. The best selling Yoshi (According to the database here) is at over 5m. It is 1 of the Yoshi games with a Super Mario prefix. After that, there is a fairly large drop. (A couple of million iirc). I think, given that a lot of Switch titles are performing as best ever in their franchises, that it can fill the "2nd best selling slot". It would be unfair and in my opinion unrealistic to expect a new Yoshi game to sell 5m+ in todays market.

My first gut is 2-3m. If the game is exceptionally well made, then it might get in the 4-5m category though.

I said 3-4 million. I bet it'll pass a million in the first month, pass two million by the start of the holidays, and be over 2.5 million by end of the year. That'll let it slowly trickle past 3 million to around 4 million over the next few years.

4-5 million. Many games on Switch are selling exceptionally well, many first party titles are setting a new salesrecord for their own franchise. Even a rather lackluster Kirby should've surpassed the 2 million mark already.
Yoshi's Crafted World looks like a good entry. The only thing that could prevent it from crossing the 4 million mark would be another title that overshadowes Yoshi in the same timeframe. But I don't see that happen and I don't think Fire Emblem is even a candidate to do so. Also there isn't another major Jump 'n' Run announced for 2019.
