Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Too Many Games too Little Time

My backlog for ps4 and PSVR alone is over 15. Then I also have Zelda, DKCTF, and as of today, NSMBUD.

I don't know how many I have on older systems, but with Switch I have Sushi Striker, Dark Souls, Iconoclasts, and Golf Story unstarted, with Tales of Vesperia and Pokemon Let's Go Eevee arriving tomorrow and Travis Strikes Again arriving next week, so it's not too bad - especially since it looks like there isn't anything much I'm interested in until late March and April. Unless a Direct comes along and changes thing.

That's not a bad backlog at all, but it's also true I have 30 indie games on my eShop wishlist, and there's plenty coming in 2019 that interest me. Switch is my default system, the software library is just the right mix for me.

A backlog of only five games? I have a backlog of over 400+ games 😂. 30 of those 400+ are on the switch. I'm currently doing SSBU, Octopath Traveller, Kruby, Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors atm on the switch.

Edit: just remembered Pokemon let's go aswell.

Lol wow! Yeah i mean i stopped buying so I can try to catch up.

Yeah I’m finding mine to be growing as well. Games from the current gen I haven’t but still want to finish:

Switch;
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Super Smash Bros Ultimate
- Hyrule Warriors
- Okami
- Dark Souls
- Diablo III

And then there’s a couple more on the horizon.

Then, there’s also these current gen games I still want to finish:
3DS;
- Fire Emblem Awakening (yeah)
- Metroid Samus Returns

PS4;
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider
- God of War (haven’t even started)
- Horizon Zero Dawn (ditto)
- Wolfenstein The Old Blood

And here there’s also more coming...

5 game backlog? Try 40 Switch games, 60 ps4 games. A lot chipping to do.

I think I am just slightly worse than you, add in bunch of 3ds/ps3/360/pc/ps2. I think about 300 games backlog is about right for me.

Well, I have a hacked switch so I didn't pay for those games tbh. I didn't pirate them either, just came free with the console. All my other consoles I paid for all my games though.

Lol nice!

5+? That's nothing. Since October I've bought and completed 17 games. Pretty much all both very cheap on psn sales. All I did was stopped playing multiplayer games and focused on the backlog. Currently on wolfenstein 2 complete edition. Next up spiderman and rdr2. 20+ games in 3-4 months.

It's a good thing. Millions of consumers and gamers have different tastes. I've never liked the mentality thrown around in the Wii U days that droughts were fine because that meant there wasn't going to be a backlog of games to play. There were even plenty of times in 2018 where I didn't feel like enough new content was coming to Switch (namely before October).

Lifetime Sales Predictions

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)
