Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda Theory- The Canon Timeline takes place outside the events of Skyward Sword

So as many of you may not know (and some of you do) I have a blog over at Zelda Amiino where I discuss theories and fanfiction based on the canon Zelda timeline.  I have quite a few interesting theories and I figured it might be fun to discuss them with you all here.

It is for that reason that I jave decided to start a new series called "Zelda Theory" where I will link one of my theories here for you all to read and discuss.  Note that this is not advertising, I am only putting the link because I feel the format I used on the app is more readable and some of these can be a bit long.  So mods, if there is any issue let me know and I will retype it all here without a link.

So first, I will start with my most recent theory where, as the title implies, the canon timeline take place outside the events of Skyward Sword.

This one is a talk of time travel and multiverse theory.  Closed time loop paradoxes and splits in time have always had their part in the Zelda franchise, and there may be more to what we are seeing.

Remember folks, this is a lore discussion based on the established canon.  Some of you may not believe in the canon timeline (despite that it does exist and Nintendo made it official no matter how you feel about it) so for the sake of discussion, if you are one of these people approaching this with an open mind and remembering that these discussions are for fun would be best for everyone.

So let me know what you think, ask questions, give me counter points, and have fun.  I have quite a few of these and plan on sharing them with you all regularly moving forward, so lets get our lore on and delve deep into the Zelda Universe for some cool talks and banter.

This is my most recent theory, and kind of a follow up. If you take the time to read it, it will surely blow your mind!

Interesting reading.

So you're basically saying that the Hyrule Historia Timeline follows the events of Skyward Sword past where Link defeated Demise and therefore the curse began, and that the events that follow the future of Skyward Sword are yet to be seen?

In the first theory, yes.  However in my second theory, the link I posted in my second comment, I expand on the idea quite a bit and delve deep into the rabbit hole of multiverse theory and time travel.

I do believe that the second timeline could be tied to Lorule, which I go into greater detail in as well.

Nice. I guess that amiino App/blog looks like to be a good reading overall. I might suscribe.

Btw, talking about the timeline, I believe that the fallen timeline makes sense when we consider the main mission of OoT. Regardless of Link’s life or death, it seems that the sages are the important ones in the game.
