It will hit 100m regardless of PS5 release/announcement, it would have to drop 54% YoY to not hit it.

Impressive sales, really. I believe PS4 life time sales will be around 110~115M. The announcement of PS5 is definitety coming in 2019. Sales will drop.

You're cherry picking. The PS5 release/announcement is going to determine the pace in which it will take PS4 to reach 100m+/Wii numbers. PS5 announces, people are going to hold off on ps4 and console will not sell at the same rate due to that announcement. It's going to hit over 100m, that's a guarantee, but how fast? that's up to when Sony announces PS5 officially. 

What if Sony announces, say at their fiscal year end meeting in April, that for 2019 they expect to ship 14 million PS4's, it'll reach 100+/Wii numbers based on their own internal sales for the PS4 for this year, not on consumer demand or the PS5 announcement.

Expecting and actually doing and two different things(See Nintendo/Switch goal). I still think PS5 announcement will hinder PS4 sales, but overall its inevitable to pass Wii numbers at this point. 

Sony is not Nintendo, that's your first mistake.  The PS1 was discontinued in 2006, well after the PS2.  The PS2 was discontinued in 2013, well after the PS3.  The PS3 was discontinued 2017, well after the PS4 and the PS4 will be on sales well after the PS5 is on the market, enough to pass the 100M/Wii sales.  We have the numbers and average yearly sale post a new console and I don't see the PS4 being any different from 20 years worth of history.

Early adopters will push PS5 sales, those who can afford a cheaper PS4 will push the console past those 100+/Wii/PS1 milestones.

9m+ for Spider-Man is damn impressive, especially since that number only goes to Nov 25.  I think we've just found the PS4's top first party game.  VGC has Uncharted 4 at 10.26m.  I sure Spidey will beat that soon if it hasn't already.  Or does that number exclude digital?

I'm not cherry picking, either I just misunderstood what you meant or perhaps your original post wasnt worded correctly. Either way, it was a simple case of miscommunication.
