I already gave you several examples so you don't need to ask them from another person.

Uncharted collection, GoW3, TLOU, Heavy Rain + B2S from top of mind

if you want more

I asked for a list of remasters that made Sony a lot of money on the PS4 which justifies remasters over their lucrative networking and game services service.

Surprise surprise, you are still unable to fulfil this simple request.

No surprise, I gave you the direct names and you just pretended they didn't count.

You can hold to your "it's certain it will have BC" as if you had any evidence other than wishful thinking and your opinion and analysis. None of it grant anything in the future.

So it will be a problem for Sony but it isn't/ won't be a problem for MS? The X1 already supports enhancements of XB and 360 games while also supporting the supply of remasters that get released. Some of these games, from what I understand, do overlap. So it works there, it will work on PS5.

If anything this will only enhance what remasters should offer: not just basic updates that the console itself can provide. One such example would be the inclusion of VR into games, which is something BC is never going to accomplish by itself. So the nature of remasters will change.

Let us not forget that TloU, while a critical darling on PS3 was also released just prior to the PS4 launch. At this point the PS3 was hardly even relevant as a console. The immediate success of the PS4, especially in terms of creating a desire from consumers, resulted in many non-PS3 owners buying a PS4. Shuhei himself even stated that data they collected showed new users into the PS ecosystem. You make it sound as if all PS3 owners of the game rebought it on PS4 when really the game was catering to a new and expanded audience.

Still, I am waiting to know which other remasters made Sony so much money that sticking to remasters is clearly the better thing for Sony? They barely even pump out remasters this gen, and have come to a halt on their PS2 classics remasters, and Patapon 2 is MIA right now. Clearly Sony don't care as much about the remaster game as you make them out to do so. it is not really big business and only few select titles are really seeing major gains from being remastered.

So, if MS has no problem running a BC programme that also allows games to be enhanced, while also not denying remasters being release on their current platform, then why would this be a problem for Sony? Nothing even remotely suggests that there would be any mass worry over this.

I think you are over looking my point. This affects all brands.

To me, BC counters Remastering games. It stops developers from milking franchises because the consumers aren't forced to buy the remaster since gamers will have already had the options of owning the game or can buy the game cheaper as 2nd hand copies and play them on newer hardware. Remasters become a tough sell if a console is full BC.

The last major Xbox AAA game that I know received a Remaster was Gears Ultimate, and guess what happened after that.. Gears 2 and 3 were offered as BC titles, MS didn't bother Remastering the rest of the Trilogy. Probably because gamers can play 2 and 3 via BC. Its pretty clear that MS has taken a more user friendly approach with this BC, where they also patch up older games and improve on them for free, much like how Steam operates. Sony well its hard to tell what they will do because they don't offer BC.. yet.

TLOU-RM sold a crap ton of copies on PS4 which would have made Sony a lot of money. Now if the PS4 offered full BC, I don't expect the RM to have sold any where near its amount. If the PS5 comes out without BC, than TLOU2 RM can be a thing and do extremely well, but if the PS5 is fully BC than TLOU2 RM wont do as well. You see how they counter each other out? Not all gamers double dip and majority have budgets and are happy to take the cheaper option to play games.

Also Sony and Xbox wont stop 3rd parties from releasing there Remasters, but with BC implemented into a system, 3rd party devs will hopefully move there focus onto other projects because BC will take care of the older games.

Yep, same goes for the FFVII Remake....although with that game, there might not even be a PS4 version.

Well the PS5 won't be here till at least 2020 and at most 2021, so there would have to be a PS4 version of it came in 2019.
