What games are you looking forward to (so far) in 2019?

Forums - Gaming Discussion - What games are you looking forward to (so far) in 2019?

Pretty much just Anthem and Fire Emblem. I have a feeling Anthem is going to dominate pretty much all of my gaming time this year.

You guys have made me think deep about 2019. I didn't realise that there are so many good games gonna come out in a space of 1 year.

My most looking forward to games in 2019:

  • Metroid Prime 4,
  • Death Stranding,
  • Bayonetta 3,
  • Resident Evil 2 Remake,
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake (if it comes out in 2019),
  • Devil May Cry 5,
  • Cyberpunk 2077 (if it comes out in 2019),
  • Town (if it comes out in 2019),
  • Animal Crossing,
  • Luigi's Mansion 3,
  • New Pokemon (If its that fully 3D openworld we've all wished for and doesn't get delayed beyond 2019),
  • Anthem,
  • Daemon X Machina,
  • Biomutant,
  • Dying Light 2,
  • Metro Exodus,
  • Star Citizen (if it comes out in 2019),
  • ...also whatever happened to Seasons of Heaven?

I'm also tempted to get (if I have time/money after playing the rest above):

  • Yoshi's Crafted World,
  • Fire Emblem,
  • Tales of Vesperia Remaster/Port,
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles HD,
  • Days Gone,
  • Ghosts of Tsushima.

I have Tales of Vesperia for 360 and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube and never completed them but really liked them so I wouldn't mind playing them again either on Switch or PS4.

DMCV

Yeah Platinum can do anything and I'll be onboard. Not sure when that one is coming out though.

DMCV is something that I hope winds up being good. But the MTX in it just make me wary. Same goes for MK11. It looks good, but I'm not paying $60 + another $40 for season pass characters.

Yeah, might not be this year. But since I'm already a fan of Granblue's characters, I'm even more excited about it.
<as for the MTX in DMCV, it appears identical (so far) to the ones in DMC4 Special Edition. And a gaming outlet (I think it was Kotaku) tested how long it took to level up skills in both games and found them to seem identical. So if Capcom keep it at that, I'm fine with it. I just hope additional characters like Trish can be unlocked in the game as usual, rather than paying for them as DLC. But I won't get my hopes up about that in this day and age...

Nothing for me, unfortunately. Hopefully some good rpgs get release dates this year.

Dreams has skyrocketed to number one for some reason. I just got an itch as I've tried so many survival craft genres lately and the are just shy of scratching me to satisfaction. I've also spent quite a bit of time in Sculptr VR this year and everytime I fire that up for a session I spend hours afterward watching Dreams dev videos, it's really peaking hype wise now, hope it doesn't fade. Can't wait to get my hands on the music aspect too.

-Android user, please be gentle with critique on my spelling.

Tales of Vesperia in a few days! I even went back to Xillia 2 to prep for it. Got the bonus ending for paying off my 20,000,000 gald debt. Bring on the next grindfest!

After that, Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the next game to have my interest. The single trailer we've seen has looked promising...so hopefully the game is great as well.

Animal Crossing Switch is a sure buy...though not sure if I'll get it right away or not. Those games are always fun and I've been craving a new one.

Everything else is up in the air. Might pick up some surprises through sales or just work through games I never beat from previous years. The Trails of Cold Steel PS4 port has my interest right now...it's important to support JRPGs with prominent blonde girls.

That would be on my list as well, but I have the PS3 versions already. And those were a bit expensive to get since, I missed the boat buying them at the store. Had to pay extra for somebody's used copy due to the small print run.

Ys, Trails, and Xenoblade were all games that almost didn't make it to the USA.
