US numbers dont really make sense. We know that XBO did better than PS4 due to sales, and the Switch has absolutely skyrocketed, delivering one of the best Decembers of all time.

As is always the case with holiday sales, it is best to wait it out. Of course there will be adjustments, but without any concrete data for US NPD December, it is all guesses right now.

Thank You for this answer. I was already seeing red, when read "We know.." in the sentence.

I think insiders are wrong about PS4 doing under a million, but Switch should still hit 2 million. 400k, 600k, 600k, 400k= 2 million.

December is 5 months, not 4.

Last year PS4 sid 1.08m with Cyber Monday and $50 off Slim & Pro for 1 week each.

This year Cyber Monday was in November and they had no discounts on either PS4 model so under 1 million is very, very likely.

No wonder it feels like christmas decorations had been up for so bloody long this year...

On topic though, those are pretty awesome numbers, would imagine that the sales of the Nintendo online service went up a lot as well now that there are 2 must play online games from Nintendo on the Switch.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Those PS4 numbers are mighty impressive.

To be fair, while I might have usually agreed with this, the Switch's lead is probably bigger than is actually being reported in this chart. It doesn't look as significant as it probably is/was.

So it kind of makes sense why people are so impressed by the PS4 in that regard. The difference doesn't seem as great and it's also a very old console.

Please, not this. The console peaked just one year ago, we all know how console sales work.

It's way more impressive to see the Switch sell 1/10 of Wii U's LT sales in one week .
