Graphics Of The Year

Resident Evil 2 2 6.90%

Metro: Exodus 9 31.03%

Gears 5 4 13.79%

Death Stranding 12 41.38%

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 6.90%

Total:29

Modern Warfare didn't get that much recognition for the graphics? It was the talking point together with the kind of violence.

Looking back at it, I haven't been entirely fair to Modern Warfare. I'm going to lay through the entire campaign (plus review critic/gamer talk again) and come back with a judgment call!

Sounds good, have you tried Red dead redemption 2 on max settings yet? Does it beat metro.

6x master league achiever in starcraft2

Beaten Sigrun on God of war mode

Beaten DOOM ultra-nightmare with NO endless ammo-rune, 2x super shotgun and no decoys on ps4 pro.

1-0 against Grubby in Wc3 frozen throne ladder!!

I think it's between two for me overall Gears 5 with it's great animation, environments and the performance of the game along with Metro Exodus for it's effects and raytracing implementation crated some great visuals and really pushed the bar out, I'm also quite a fan of A Plague Tale's look even though I don't think it competes at the top of the list it was an overall great art style that took me a little by surprise.

Yeah, really impressive tech-wise.
That said, and I know it's supposed to look "real", but, oh dear, can it look any more mundane than that?

Hello everyone,,
The faces I've seen in the RE2 trailers can look off occasionally, but overall I think it wins that category. The detail is simply insane. But good on the Kingdom Hearts 3 developers for doing an excellent job of transitioning the models from one art style to another (certainly a better job than I've seen in some games).

Although honestly I still need to get both eventually ... maybe my mind will change once I pick them up.

I would like to fast forward to the 2021 version of this thread. You got a button for that?

I have voted for DS ultimately.
DMC5 was a close call, and is my personal favourite game in artstyle, but the enviroment is simply off the charts in the Death Stranding.

I think RDR2 on PC is one of the most impressive games to date. Of course it won't match super linear games, but the draw distance and some character models are really great. Here some pictures I took today on ultra:

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

This was an easy one, voted for call of duty. Red dead redemption 2 and Metro somewhat close second. But some characters in red dead redemption 2 just looks bad and I remember the trees not looking good at all on my PS4 pro. Metro characters don't look good and have low-res textures. I can't fully judge call of duty but I voted for it anyway.

I really need to go back and finish Metro. When I started playing it around launch, it kept crashing on me when I got to the first open worldish area, so I never got very far into it. I have to assume they've ironed out those issues since then. No denying it's a looker of a game
