GameBoy Advance for me. It had full BC with the original gameboy and was just a natural step forward overall. If you had an SP with a backlight, it was even better...in fact I would say the SP version would be the real winner here after reflecting on the struggles we all had with the OG version that did not have the backlight.

Did you read the headline?

Did your read the forth post in this thread?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan on the gameboy.

I found that one pretty lacking, too easy (I beat it the day I got the game on my second playthrough) and simplistic, even found 2 secrets in that time (where you play against Krang about who has to take the last shuriken). To be fair, I was well trained on the NES TMHT (Hero, not Ninja Turtles in Europe) at the time.

Oh yes it is really easy but it is the game I have beaten the most times of all games out there.

Definitely something from the Pokemon series.

I'll say Gold/Silver from the older era

Sun and Moon from more recent times.

Just to name a few...

WarioWare Twisted
Rhythm Heaven
Persona 4 Golden
Metroid Samus Returns

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Super Mario Land!

Golden Sun Lost Age by far

Hmmm, if I had to pick a best Nintendo handheld game, I would pick two: Chrono Trigger as the objectively best game on a Nintendo handheld, and Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal as my favourites (tied with Black/White).

You know it deserves the GOTY.

The right answer is Tetris. Looking back over the years, I'd also have to mention Bravely Default & Advance Wars.

Persona 4 Golden is essentially a port from PS2 and therefore shouldn't count, great though it is.

"While versions of Tetris were sold for a range of 1980s home computer platforms as well as arcades, it was the successful handheld version for the Game Boy launched in 1989"
