That's true. Night Mode has come in handy in the past.
Also, in my experience, bass seems to usually be the culprit vis-a-vis hearing neighbors' music/games/movies etc. So, leaving the sub-woofer off (heresy to some, I know), can also reduce your audio footprint.
For my part, I'm more concerned about the positional audio than the fullness or depth of explosions, etc. Being able to hear an enemy moving up from my 7 o'clock has saved my digital life so many times, across so many universes.
