Was it good? :)

Yes, it's my favorite Flintstones game!

Wish someone would make a new Flintstones game some time. Maybe a wacky adventure game in the vein of Monkey Island. :)

Did you get to see the Zelda rap commercial as a kid? XD

I don't remember the rap but I do remember this odd commercial: https://youtu.be/E-qBkWerZDg

It seemed like the entire school was playing the game at the same time. I remember being on the school bus when someone found out where level 6 dungeon was. That guy was a hero for like two days!

That's a way better commercial than It's The Legend of Zelda and it's really rad, Those creatures from Ganon are pretty bad. XD

Was the ColecoVision version of Donkey Kong any good? :)

Yes! At the time, it was absolutely the definitive home version.

Didn't it also have someone's initials hidden in the code? :)

Yoshi's Island. Favourite game of all time, and got it for Christmas. Thinking about it, I got a lot of my favourites for Christmas (Tomb Raider II, Twilight Princess, Dino Crisis 2).

I love Yoshi's Island so much, wish it was re-released more often! ^^

A little Christmas in '04 where I got my Gameboy Advance with Super Mario Advance and DragonBall Z - Legacy of Goku (I didn't know it was a turd back then :P)

Yeah, Dragon Ball games didn't have the best reputation back then. XD

Some days I just blow up.

I was so happy when my brother unwrapped Banjo-Kazooie. ^^

N64 christmas's were always the best IMO

Mine's not really a game, but a console. I got the original PlayStation for Christmas 1998 with a handful of games (Crash Bandicoot, Porche Challenge, Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Tekken 3). Still probably my favourite ever gift.

Yeah, like when me and my brother got Donkey Kong 64 in the Christmas of '99. ^^

On Christmas 2003, I got Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. I remember getting up at 3 or 4 in the morning to put it into the PS2. I never experienced R&C before, just from a preview and review on the Game Informer magazine. But I fell in love with it immediately.

Christmas 2009 was when I got Uncharted 2. I got the first one months before when a Babbage's store clerk suggested my brother and I to pick it up, also suggesting to keep a lookout on the second one. After seeing the reviews, I was super tempted to play it. It was a a truly game-changing experience for me back then, which is why it's on the top of my list even to this day.

Guess the NES still had some staying power at the time. :)

Was that Christmas 1983? I remember getting a ColecoVision around that time. Donkey Kong was amazing. I also remember playing Qbert. ColecoVision was one of the first real arcade at home moments.

Yep, I got it Christmas 83'. I had Qbert too, and yes, it was a lovely machine, with some really great arcade ports. It was more powerful than even the Atari 5200, which released 2 years after the ColecoVision. That's one tech savvy leather company. :) I still have mine, 40+ games, and the Super Action Controllers, which was the best peripheral add on. I had the wheel and trackball too, but they were kinda useless because they weren't supported. Returned them both and got the 2 Super Actions.

What a great system. Sounds like you had a really nice set up. Our Christmas's were similar. 1982 was all about G.I. Joe, 83 ColecoVision, and 84 Transformers. I miss the 80's!
