Forums - Gaming Discussion - [OFFICIAL] Resident Evil 2 REMAKE Thread

i don´t know if I´m rusty with these types of games, but even on normal I´m finding it harder than the other REs I remember, the amount of bullets necessary to kill a zombie or to make it fall to the ground by shooting at the knee, is ridiculous.

So far I absolutely love this game, to me it’s way way better then RE7. It’s right up there with the original 2 for me. The one and only aspect of the game I dislike is Mr X, he’s not scary, he’s not particularly hard to lose he’s just fucking annoying. I prefer his scripted moments from the original of B scenario. Why even put him in Scenario A now. I understand a lot of people like the cliche run and hide horror theme but to me it’s meh and actually takes away from my enjoyment. Other than that I can’t recommend this game enough.

What’s everyone else feelings on Mr. X, am I just an idiot or do others feel the same way haha?

Remember to tag your stuff, folks!

My Bad! Sorry for that, it didn't even occur to me that could be a spoiler lol.

Tbh Mr. X is more annoying than scary especially when trying to do the library puzzle.

With Kingdom Hearts 3 the best Game of the Year 2019 now :) Its awesome!
I hope, the release is big, because then... resident evil 3 remake in future :)

Completed Leon A, I'd say a another perfect remake for the franchise, some minor issues here and there but all in all a 9/10 for me.

Didn't even know this thread was thing!
I played the original back in like 1998 when it first came out. It was my favorite game for a long time and I was kinda pissed when MGS and Zelda came and stole the year from them.

I'm almost done with play through A of Claire but I'll be dammed if everything and everyone isn't trying to stop me from playing the game. Something always comes up!

Finally, let me say that I have the game digitally for Xbox One. I have four Xboxes ranging from an X on 4K, an S on a 1080p set, and a launch model on a 1080p set. No matter what anyone tells you, the game looks fantastic regardless of hardware. Plays great, too. Tension is really high, only surpassed by RE7 in VR.

Hope everyone is enjoying it, despite all of the backtracking you have to do.

Also, let me add that I did a replay of every single mainline game in the series plus both RER games in 2018--just because.

RE2 looks fantastic but at the same time, not mind blowing. There's lots of corridors and static backgrounds. Character models really shine as do some effects but I really believe we could get a pretty faithful port on the Switch with minimal cutbacks (aside from resolution and framerate, of course).

Enjoying it so far, the best thing is it being a remake rather than remaster, and I think Claire is sexy.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

You know what’s wild is the Global Stats page comparing RE2 vs RE7

RE7 took 9 days to get 1000 in game hours
RE2 took 0 days to get 1000 in game hours

RE2 is also crushing the in game distance traveled,
RE7 took 20 days to travel 40, 000, 000. KM
RE2 is already at 27, 500, 000 KM

That to me is great news, I hope this means Capcom will continue with this same format for new games, I also hope this inspires a RE3 Remake if it wasn’t already in the works.

It seems re2 is falling like a rock in amazon charts
