What do you consider the best first person shooter to release this decade, and why?

Arizona Sunshine

1st, it's VR, so that gives it the edge in gameplay automatically.

On top of that, it offers a full fledged single player experience, and the most enjoyable Online Multiplayer mode I have experienced in any shooter to date.

For me it tops Farpoint and Firewall Zero Hour thanks to offering both a great singleplayer and multiplayer experience.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Ehh. I think Wolfenstein: The New Order might be one of the few FPS games from this decade that I've even played more than a bit, so I guess that's the winner? It's a good game though, so I don't really have much trouble calling it this decade's best FPS game. I imagine there must be some better game though, I just haven't played it...

Halo Reach

Around the Network

Id have to go with Halo 2 Anniversary for this modern gen.
Outstanding Visusls
Best Sound
Best music
Amazing Campaign
Classic Halo gameplay at its best
Content rich

Its a remaster of a masterpiece so if that doesnt count than ill fall back on Halo Reach as my previous option.

I really loved Far Cry 3, but not sure if that counts. Doom might be better anyways

Black Ops 2 personally for me and I know you guys are gonna hate bc its fun to bash cod but this game was a ton of fun. Multiplayer was a total blast and almost perfect. As far as single player goes i'd have to give it to Bioshock Infinite with honorable mentions to Borderlands 3, MW3, Far Cry 3, Titanfall 2, Doom, and Wolfenstein 2.

It counts, why wouldn't it?

Halo: Reach

I really love the campaign. Unlike most people, I never liked the dual-wielding in Halo 2 & 3, so I really didn't miss it here (or in ODST). Also, unlike most people, I had no problem with the absence of the Master Chief. Without him, I was given the opportunity to create and customize my own avatar for Noble team. I also got the opportunity to play a Halo game where I was on the losing side of a war. During the campaign, Noble team might win a few battles, but even they're aware that they're badly losing the war, and that they're basically just delaying the inevitable. Other great additions included Jet Packs, the DMR, and an improved Firefight mode.
