That poster from ERA seems to have access to Morgan Stanley investor releases, so his information is probably accurate. It remains to be seen whether Switch was no.1 in revenue AND units, but it wouldn't surprise me that much if it was. Sony just doesn't seem to care much if it "wins" NPD as long it hits its shipment targets, it isn't even dropping price at all this December.

It's probably revenue which was quite obvious if the leaker who said it was close in units was true.

PS4 probably winning, but not by much.

Switch number 1 in revenue could mean it lost to ps4 by a small amount only. Like under 300k? Damn cant wait for results

Results are in

Switch: 1360K
PS4: 1480K
XBO: 1340K

So much for nintendo PR lol. Switch sold well over 1mil. And surprisingly the best thing is all 3 are stupidly close.

Every1 won in their own way. Especially X1 imo

This is the same insider who said that he wasn't absolutely certain that the PS4 would win November last year, correct?

And people still put any sort of weight on what he says?

Here's what we actually know.

1)Amazon on Sunday took 3 times longer to sell out of Spider-Man bundles this year than it took for them to sell out of the PS4 slim last year.

2)Unlike last year Sony wasn't only relying on one SKU on sale. It also had the RDR 2 Pro bundle and the CoD BLOPS 4 slim bundle.

3)The Brickseek inventory results for Thanksgiving/Black Friday were hilariously tilted in Sony's favor, outnumbering Switch consoles 5:1 to 10:1 depending on location.

4)This year includes Cyber Monday which just means more sales altogether.

I look at the data above and the absolutely miserable history of the insider when it comes to November NPD and I think it's far, far, far, far more "bold" to think that PS4 is going to drop 25% YoY (as a lot of predictions in this thread have it) compared to being up 10%.

I agree, still surprised by the number of people who still put stock in Benji.

Benji was right!!

Well, looks pretty close between all 3 this year

I would be shocked if the NS won on console sales. Won on revenue I expect, but nt on console sales.

That would mean that either the PS4 is really down YOY and did like 1.1M or the NS is up by more than 100% YOY and did like 1.6M. Both just seems unlikely to me especially going by nintendos press release.

But if the PS4 sold like 1.5 - 1.6M at "mostly" like $199.... then the NS selling ~1.2M at $299 will result in a win n revenue which is what I expect.

This does go inline with nintendo PR though. They indicated they were selling around 50% better than last year. So 50% better than ~800k - 900k would have put them at at least 1.2M.

Ending up at 1.3M+ is pretty much almost spot on.
