Forums - Nintendo Discussion - SSBU: Predict Dec NPD Sales (US)! (Will it Break the Record?)

I think it will!

Unless momentum dies I see 4 million for NDP, nearing 10 globally.

Oh crap, in an entire month? Probably in the 5 millions range then.

So it just has to do a lil over 3 mil in the month? Seems like it should pass that rather easily.

It will make it into that top 10 list. But, I doubt it will make it to the top. The main reason - most of those games launched on systems with a larger install base than the Switch has right now.

With that said, Halo 2 and Halo 3 didn't have giant install bases at the time of their launch. So, it wouldn't be shocking to see Smash on top. I'm just not gonna bet on it.

I think it will, we talking about December and almost hole month.

Woh Spiderman and GoW numbers were huge!

OT: Smash will crack the top 10 no doubt. Will it break it? Very tough considering the install base, it would have to get to around 40% of Switch owners in the US first month. I think it will have a shot at 3m. But who knows, Nintendo keep surprising me recently!

At the very least there's probably 10M switch owners at the end of December so 40% isnt required. But still, a tough task. Especially since it looks like it's doing very very well on the digital side, especially for a Nintendo title.
