Wow, that's nuts for Japan. If history is anything to go by...since Smash is biggest in North America...we may be looking at a 4-5M FW for this game...

MH World was around 2M first week on PS4 counting digital. Next on the list was DQ XI (Only PS4) with around 1'1M first week counting digital too... Ultimate should be between the two of them.

I'm even more curious to see if these numbers include bundles or not. Otherwise, we're probably looking at a ~1.5m FW at retail for Smash.

15m shipped first month is definitely starting to look like a possibility. Will this make it the fastest selling exclusive of all time?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Actually, how many games hit 15m? Not a very long list.

But in all seriousness, did Sun/Moon do 14.6m first month? O.o

I'm amazed at how many Nintendo franchises have a realistic shot at reaching 20m this gen, this is something totally new.
