Do you also believe the Uncharted series saw a decline because The Lost Legacy didn't reach 10 million?

Of course. The sales is  the sales. LL is a very good example, because it was ofc a DLC, but a cheaper than U4, so we can compare them.

And do you think that the Mario series has seen a huge decline over the past year because Mario Tennis Aces and Super Mario Party sold much less than Super Mario Odyssey?

Well if you think that, I doubt anything anyone else says could change your mind

And what is wrong with my thinking, excuse me ? Uncharted  Lost Legacy got its own marketing, got it's own boxes, hell, it was even bundled. Sure, not as big game as a mainline games, but still a factor if we talk about Uncharted trademark.

You're using non main games to justify a decline from main games. Everyone but you sees the issue with that thinking

The 3DS game is the best selling title in the franchise so what drop exactly?

The 2015 Wii U/ 3DS entries.

Entries what exactly the 3DS entry is the best selling in the franchise so explain how you can have a drop when you sold more than all prior games you may as well say GTAV had a drop in the series as well.

I dont think the word justify is in a good use here, but let it be. And I dont think 2-3 guys are everyone.  I prefer to operate on the all accesible info. Sure, your way has it own ups and downs, but imo my way is better.

Im sure as hell than Sony took LL's numbers into consideration, as well Nin goes with the above games.

Which one thinks better, it will  be determined.

Eight people have disagreed with you in this thread alone.

By the way, why haven't you answered my question about the Mario spin-offs? If you think that Animal Crossing spin-offs in a completely different genre indicate that the core series has declined, then why won't you say the same about Mario?

But literally no one compares spinoff and mainline games in that way(or so I thought before this conversation). Spinoff almost never have the same appeal as a mainline game. Comparing Amiibo festival to a normal animal crossing game is a crime, they are similar at all.

Yeah. It takes about 2-3 years for 3rd parties to start making games. They had no faith in the Switch until it started having good sales in 2017. So 2019 is when the 1st wave will come. I expect the wave in 2020 to be bigger from 3rd parties actually. Also, Nintendo's handheld only companies are finally starting to get their games out. A lot of them released 3DS games around the 2015-2016 so it took longer for them to catch up to their home console counterparts. We are finally starting to see the results of a Handeld+Home Console software lineup this year.

2020 will most likely be even better. That's why I think Switch is in small sales mode. I think we might start seeing it sell big sometime in 2019. Somewhere between Wii 2008 number and Wii 2009 numbers.

Yeah, most 3rd parties did not had any or had small Switch plans before Switch launch, but after Switch proved its not Wii U and that actually will be successful and healthy platform, plenty of them start development of Switch games this year, so we should have quite a higher number of 3rd party announcements in 2019. and 2020.
