I always read this, but the last valkyrie was the easiest for me. Just had to remember how I did to avoid the attacks of the previous ones, and I killed her on the first or second try. Of course, it was only in normal difficulty (or hard? don't remember), but anyway, I had a lot more trouble with some other valkyries. The last one was a lot of fun though, can't deny that!

Oh, i played it on hard (hard is way more difficult than normal in that combat) and i needed hours of trying to beat her, with my best equipment, while the others only needed a few attempts. Every attack from her kills you automatically, and in higher difficulties she uses different attacks.

Playing GOW on hard or in god of war difficulty is a different and better experience than in normal. It's like with TLOU. I played directly the first time in hard, and every time you overcame a difficult section, the calm that followed was ...almost spiritual. Gameplay at the service of the story, immersing you in the game making you feel the same stress the character is going through.

I just checked, I was indeed in normal difficulty. I started a new game + in Hard mode, I need to keep going in this. Weird, usually I start my games in hard mode (like TLOU), guess I started in normal because it was my first game in a while.

But she never touched me during the fight, that's why I said she was easier than the others. She doesn't use the same attacks as the other valkyries in higher levels? In normal at least she's like a best-of, she uses one attack of each of the previous ones, so it's not that hard to avoid when you remember the other fights.

She uses ALL the attacks of ALL the other valkyries, plus exclusive attacks. Some of them have very similar animation but very different response.

The game is very very different playing on GMGoW versus even Hard. SSM really outdone themselves and they said their inspiration for this mode was Souls games (even though a lot of people say it is harder than Souls), with bigger difference being you don't need to keep an eye in stamina.

This. In fact GOW difficulty is so nuts that i would say the most difficult combat in the game (at least until you play the valkyries) is the very first combat in the prologue section. Is Santa Monica Studios trolling you at the highest level...XD.

I can certify that I had a nightmare of time on the first fight kkk took me a long time to get used to the change in gameplay from other GoW. I can say I didn't enjoy the game much until I got to the part where you can play it more like a Hack and Slash instead of arrow, arrow, arrow, roll, parry, attack I had to use to survive until half game on level 1 because I didn't want to put money and resources on equips I would have to replace later. So until I was able to get the recipe for the best armor before the end game sets I haven't once forged a thing. It was very hard to win against the second "Troll" (the one in the snow gate, with about other 5 enemies), the Dark Elf and very later the pack of level 6 wolves (needed to hit 15 times each to kill while dying with 2 hits). Very punishing game. Still I was even more happy to see my son (started when he was like 3,5 years old and have been playing a little by little for the last 6 months, he already passed Elfheim) enjoying it on Give me a Story.

I was playing Atari when I was 4 year =]

He is so competent playing (he finished Knack 2 almost by himself) that when he ask for help on parts that he have some difficult (that aren't really that hard) I forget he is just a small kid and tell him if he can't pass that he won't be able to keep playing because it's going to be harder later... and he surprises me every single time. He can even win in Marvel vs Capcom against me from time to time if I use random chars (sure I never play it alone to know the right moves, but still he isn't 4 yet).

That is a constant feeling of being a father and see your children grow and be better than you.

Overall, I think RDR2 was a great game, far above almost everything else in the market. But, there are some problems for me with it:

1) Arthur Morgan is a boring character.
2) Again, a game of the franchise takes too much time to really catch. The tutorial chapters are painful to get through;
3) No Mexico;
4) Gameplay is pretty much the same of RDR1, with few additions.
5) The missions are not interesting too;
6) The world , although larger, is not as interesting to explore than the one in RDR1.
