Nintendo KNOCKED out of the park on TGA!

Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo KNOCKED out of the park on TGA!

Eh. The SMB x Persona 5 was a great surprise but it's just DLC. CTR and MK11 looked great, Ultimate alliance looks dreadfully ancient and I have no idea about wild hearts. Honestly, outside of the SMB announcement, Nintendo had very little presence. Hell, so did Sony and Xbox. I don't subscribe to the idea that they "killed" it just for having DLC and multi plat announcements.

At this point I think it's safe to say that Prime 4 will be a launch title for Switch's successor.

Yeah, they'really just leaving us out to die here. I honestly think Reggie was intentionally ruffling Metroid fan's feathers.

Alliance 3 was pretty hype. Really the only thing at the show that surprised me out of everything that was shown/announced

Just like Cloud in Smash means Final Fantasy VII on Wii-U, oh wait... but Cloud in Smash means Final Fantasy VII on Swi-oh...

Okay I'll give you that though, Final Fantasy VII IS coming to the Switch, so there's always the chance Persona 5 will too lol :P

As for all the announcements, honestly the big surprise for me was Ultimate Alliance 3, especially being Switch exclusive! I mean, it makes sense since it's best played local co-op, and the Switch is basically made for that, and as a huge fan of the series I'd buy it regardless of if it was exclusive to a platform I own or not anyway, so yeah, win-win! :D

To be fair, Final Fantasy VII Remake haven't even released on its announced platform tho (and might never do actually).

OT: I completely disagree. Their presence was decent, but far from the best they've shown there in previous years. If you're not a Smash fan, you're left with some good third party announcements, and that's it.

They didn't announce a single game there, or even showcased a previously announced game... I think that's far from knocking it out of the park in my opinion.

PS: But I totally agree that the event made 2019 look even brighter for Switch.

I was actually talking about the original, but yeah fair point you make there lol, I'm very much doubting we'll see the remake on PS4, it'll be next gen or something, lol.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and that weird dancing gmae

I mean, first party-wise. Unless the dancing game is first party, which would be funny. xD

Btw, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 stole the show for me, but I expected at least one non-Smash Nintendo game to be there.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I can see a Versus situation here, where they announced the game before actually starting to develop it, the project turning out to be very ambitious and then they decide to leave it to PS5, where they will be able to fulfill their vision. I just hope they're able to launch it close to PS5... woud be an awesome reason/excuse to buy it early on.

Isn't that more of a ground rule double?

hitting it out of the park would've been with a MP4 trailer imo

MP4 will come, Marvel, MK11, and Crash Team Racing are three very solid additions to the Switch lineup for 2019.

On side that we didn't had Metroid showing thats was expected because insiders hints,
Marvel like Switch exclusive, MK11, and Crash Team Racing are all very strong announcements for Switch, and whats more important is that MK11 and Crash Team Racing are coming to Switch on same day like other version of game, so they are not later ports.
