I don’t understand people who play single player in smash tbh. Like for what reason?

Same with Splatoon. It’s nice for it to be there but it doesn’t really add anything.

I wonder when MK9 launches.. Will people be complaining about lack of story and cutscenes in Mario Kart...most likely going by the recent game is art with story trend.

If you look at SSBB the story mode SSE was it's own thing and according to me stood on its own legs. Which is good since more fun out of the game.

93 for now. Right on the money.

Sometimes it is good to have a mode for when you can't get together with friends. (Also, I think Splatoon needs a single player campaign, which it has done a great job with for both games, as the game will become obsolete when online is taken down. )

My problem isn't that there should be a great story in Smash... It is just a bit of a disappointment when  you lead with something like the opening cutscene in the World of Light only to find out that there is essentially nothing to come after that.

I'm so excited for this game. World of Light seems to be a big let down though. I'm glad I spoiled myself so I know not to expect much. I mean, a cinematic cut-scene with all the characters, voice acting, how can anyone not expect a grand story experience after that?

still. I can see myself just listening to the tunes for hours and hours.

The gameplay they showed after the cinematic made it clear to me that wasn't gonna be the case, but I can definitely see how it would be misleading to some people. Even so, that was still just an assumption that I was hoping would be wrong, but now you've gone an ruined the fun of finding out for myself.

Pretty good scores for a party game. Wish they gave the story mode more depth though. Oh well. Should still be fun

WoL being disappointing was not surprising.

102.

That's what it SHOULD get but we all know bias reviewers won't give that. So I vote for 94 on Metacritic and 92 on Opencritic

Only because it's not physically possible to do so.

Some days I just blow up.

Yeah, I agree. Splatoon does have a single player mode but it´s not long. The Octo Expansion adds a lot to the single player experience of Splatoon 2, though.

That game, at least, is playable locally. Given, of course, you can gather at least 04 players each one with its own Switch.

I honestly forgot about that site. I can add that in the OP and the thread title.
