Things like this can happen. I got shingles at 27. Thats what happens to pensioners ffs.

I had a buddy from high school who's had them twice already and he's only 19. I think some people just get them, but we all should be drinking waaaayyyy more water than we do.

A friend of my wife got kidney stones in early 30's. She's skinny. She drank a lot, yet not water... Dunno if wine can give you stones.

There's only one way to avoid all this, die early! The human body hasn't evolved to go past 30.

Nobody actually knows what causes kidney stones, in terms of diet. There is anecdotal evidence that suggests some possibilities, but nothing conclusive (unless that has changed in the last year or so, since I last researched it.) The only thing that we know for sure about them is that people who get them usually end up with multiple throughout their life. Also, family history is a risk factor, as is being white, and over 30. But, as others have said it is not uncommon for people in their 20s to get them as well.

I don't drink soda. Not even with mixed drinks or as a chaser. Water, fruit juice, tea milk, and alcohol. In that order.

Tbh, there are far worse things than getting Kidney stones but I hope he's feeling a lot better after the surgery.

in terms of sugar, fruit juice is far worse than soda. don't drink fruit juice everyday, it's not as healthy as most think.

my father did, more than 2 cans of coke a day, his entire life, never got a problem.
