I've been playing a lot of MCC in recent months thanks to all the patch work that has essentially fixed all the major issues. At this point, it has become just about everything I wanted.

There are still a few tweaks I wouldn't mind in the UI, maybe options to improve split screen performance (especially on the X1X), but outside of that its just about a perfect game. The greatest compilation ever created! Five notable campaigns, five unique multiplayer experiences, split screen everywhere!

They even got rid of the social playlists and allowed you to do a search for the exact games and modes you want to play. Its just the best way to experience 360 era Halo games whether it be for the campaigns or multiplayer. It the perfect game that may never leave my console.

In its current state, I dare say it can single handedly justify a X1 purchase. Its beautiful man, beautiful!

The game package definitely is one of the best offerings of value and quality in history. Iv said many times, Halo MCC is worth it just for Halo 2 remake alone. They should have released that separately and would have easily scored over a 90 critic rating.

I don't think it would have reviewed that well on its own, maybe in the mid 80s at best. Which is surprisingly the score MCC received even while it was a mess. Probably because it was always a solid way to play the campaigns.

I think we all agree they tried to do too much in a short development window. Maybe they just should have launched with the campaigns and Halo 2 PvP at launch. MCC would have been a less broken product if developers could have focused on that first, while completing other multiplayer modes over time.

Either way, they built something ambitious and buggy as fuck... but now its a great product. On a side note, 343 Studios seemed to fix MCC relatively quickly. They took on huge project and got it done in under a year. I get the impression the biggest incentives were fixing a blemish in Halo's history and having strong content for Game Pass.

I Would preffer Super Mario All-Star. I'm pretty sure I won't bother about Halo MCC 20 years after release while I still care about SM AS

Uh, yes @ the poll. I mean I haven't played the mario game so I can't say I'm being very objective about that

Still easy to find people playing Halo 1 and its not that far from 20 years.

If MCC ever gets a PC release, it could be popular if handled properly.

You should have played more Super Mario All-Stars. I heard it's quite superior.

I felt it would have had more value if there was PvP and co-op modes. I also hated the lack of split screen. I mean turn based multiplayer? Ridiculous.

Any who, Super Mario World is the only Mario game that really matters. A game that for some reason wasn't included in the Wii version.

It's pathetic they took 5 to 6 years to fix their broken game
it's too late now, a 5/10 game dosnen't become a 10/10 over time
most people have moved on from it by now

5-6 years of development? Too late. That said I never had any issues with Halo MCC in the first place, so don't know what's supposedly been "fixed". Wouldn't give it a 10/10 though, Halo 3 could potentially justify that score, the Halo 2 remake as well. But Halo 1/4 definitely don't deserve a 10/10 so with them in the collection they'd drag down the score.

@poll I've never even heard of super mario all stars, so yeah Halo MCC is probably better.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702
