Also worth mentioned that Nintendo reported that "Switch had its best week ever in US",
that means bigger even launch week in US, so we talking about great numbers in any case for just that one week.

Nintendo's figures don't add up. As of October they sold around 7 3m switches but they announced switch has sold 8.2m meaning November sales are around 900k BUT their biggest black Friday week was 800k with the Wii so if switch topped that like that say that means switch was selling really bad the whole month which I doubt.

That 7.3 million is a guesstimate. It's not from NPD or Nintendo. |
7.3m is from leaked npd data. Switch sold just over 4.8m last year and has sold 2.5m this year.

Based on the numbers we've gotten so far, as of October the YTD figures are: PS4: 3040k |
Thank you sir!

Given, I want it to happen only so I can laugh at it (Also would put spotlight that we should only trust actual reports like financial reports or npd reports and not necessarily PR statements). I do not know what will happen, neither do I want to assume which reality is correct at this time. |
PR should never be taken seriously, only use of PR is to mock the company doing it =]

Option D) The one I think that might have happened (similar to option B): That 8.2 million plus is missing the rest of November outside of those 5 days. I have feel this might be it (if it is a screw up), that is why I suggest when we get the numbers. If it large difference we attach it all to the last 6 days. |
the chances of this happening are slim to none. they wouldn't be adding anything when the data is sitting right in front of nintendo face showing them the LTD in the US, option D makes zero sense.
So if I'm getting this correctly the Switch has sold 8.2M units in the US as of November 26 which leaves 5 more days left for NPD tracking ...
So from Nov 3 to Nov 26, they've sold an additional 900k on top of 7.3M units so if I had to extrapolate a little bit, it means the Switch sold roughly around ~1.1M units for the NPD tracking period of November compared to 750k for last November which means an increase of of ~300k+ for this November could be attributed to the release of Pokemon Let's Go ...
I give it a 50% chance that Switch ended up in last place if the NPD numbers for November were released ...

Didn't you say that we should expect Switch to finish with 800-950k for all of November? |
yea, somewhere around that number.

According to Nintendo's PR its done ~900K up til CM, so 800K is off the table. Your top end is definitely a possibility, though. I'd say its on the low end. My guess is ~1M-1.1M.
I do agree with you on the PS4. I would think Sony would have put out more stock than last year, given they must be much cheaper to manufacture this year. Though, I guess Sony may have released a PR statement about it being up YOY. We'll have to see when NPD releases. It should still easily take #1.

Switch was at 7.38 million based on previous data we had.
