Sorry, but i don't understand what you're saying. What do you refer to "rest of November outside of those 5 days"?. What's different from what i'm saying? Are you saying that the number is the until November 22??, Sorry but i indeed not understand that line...XD.

I am saying the guy who messed up excluded certain amount of days, so the numbers given was Switch Total up till October + Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend.

As in if the person screwed up, they forget the rest of November.

With rest of November you mean 26 to 30 November??. Well, i excuse that guy because considering we are still at November 28....XD. I still don't know if i understanding you...XDDD. Maybe you refer it lacks Cyber Monday in that 8'2M figure you mean?

I mean the data/sales between November 5th to November 21st could be missing.  Since it the only logical screw up I can see someone doing (again if they screwed up, and only if!).

Ahhhh, OK, you think so??? That would be completely stupid from Nintendo. That PR is not some guy like some of us that write the PR like a comment in a few minutes. It must receive some supervision and confirmation by the company i guess, don't you think?? They won't put the numbers thay way because worse adverting than the actual numbers....Besides....THEY KNOW the numbers...., they always know.

I think if someone screwed up, it is that screw up. Human error can happen even with large companies. Plus adding the whole more than, covers the need to correct data.

Anyways NPD will correct any or all information. Sucks that they no longer do reports public anymore.

Sounds reasonable.

Pretty stupidly funny if that is what happens. Like I said if it is that screw up, we put it all on the last 6 days! It would be obvious if that was the screw up too, as 1.2-1.3 million, means that would be the screw up.

Well, i guess some guy needing lessons with Excel could be option D) indeed......XD. I'm still prefering option C.

Given, I want it to happen only so I can laugh at it (Also would put spotlight that we should only trust actual reports like financial reports or npd reports and not necessarily PR statements). I do not know what will happen, neither do I want to assume which reality is correct at this time.

My estimate was 1-1.1 million. I think I might be right and nothing wrong with that.

The only reason why i prefer C over yours is that..., if you sell 800k at least in 5 days....., you won't sell only 300k the rest of the month. If Switch sold that much, Switch has to be close to 1'5M. Then it will make more sense the typo you say. But I guess...., we'll know in a few weeks.....

What's the point of receiving answers from sales in a PR if you end up with more questions than before??!!

Hardly they would lied, but it wouldn't be first time their PR is not most accurate.

What is very possible is that with "more than 8.2m" numbers gave us numbers until October with this "5 day period sales", so without other November numbers. And that would actually make sense, because it expected that Switch in that period sold around 800-900k (because thats more than Wii best week and perfectly fit with those "more than 8.2m" sold units).

Also, this one of latests Benji posts:

-I think estimating anywhere from 1.1 million - 1.5 million for Switch in November is realistic. I know that's a big range but given the PR (outside the weird LTD figure) it seem highly unlikely it's either below or above that figure

-Considering we have Switch doing a confirmed over 800k on BF week alone, yeah. Switch and PS4 are going to be very close come NPD in November. And likely unless Sony have something big planned for December Switch may end up the best selling hardware for the Year

LTD on US sales from nintendo  hasn't been wrong in over a decade last years article  gave us accurate NPD figures before they came out.

https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20180104005222/en/Nintendo-Switch-Fastest-Selling-Home-Video-Game-System

I'm looking forward to NPD which will reflect these numbers posted by nintendo. don't really care for benji, after this hopefully everyone see's that he's not legit.

Actualy Nintendo PR was wrong last April with Mario Kart sales numbers, they released PR that suggested that MK8D sold around 140k in April, but NPD reported that sold around twice more of that.

Also keep in mind that with this hardware numbers we probably comparing internal numbers vs NPD tracked numbers.

So he have internal data and the best he could give is an estimate with such a large range?

Month is still not over, and even NPD will not have last numbers before 7. December.

I see you are cherry picking information now.

Again...... The SWITCH was never compared even by nintendo to the BEST WEEK of the WII. It was compared t the best BF to CM 5 day window.

And it was also said to have had the BEST WEEK for the SWITCH since its launch not across all nintendo platforms.

Pls, read in between the lines.

Mind you my prediction for Switch sales for November was around 1.3M. I am just saying your interpretation of the information given is wrong.

Cherry picking? I dont think so.

Best 5 day period for that same frame period (part of BF week), better than Wii that had crazy sales means we talking about huge numbers in any case.

Yeah best week for Switch and best 5 day period for any Nintendo console.

I dont think there is big difference in any case between 5 days and week, I mean Wii probably had even higher weeks in December.

Even if this fictional reality won't happen, PR reports should never be the end all, sometimes statements make it in that do not make sense. Always confirm with financial reports totals and financial report based PR, since I believe by law they have super accurate.
