Forums - Sony Discussion - Will Sony censor Catherine: Full Body and/or lose Persona as a Playstation exclusive?

Will Atlus concede Persona 6 to Nintendo if and when Catherine: Full Body gets censored?

They'll censor Catherine:... 8 16.00%

They'll censor Catherine:... 9 18.00%

They'll censor Catherine:... 11 22.00%

Catherine: Full Body won'... 22 44.00%

Total:50

I think Persona will definitely go multiplat at some point in the future.

Yup, nothing they would want censored at all.

Nope ,you still did not post anything factual from ingame.

And indeed, those images do not show anything that needs censoring.

Yup, because no way would they blur out nude vag/boob shots when clothed vag/boob shots got censored in the top game.

The top game is originally from an 18+ adult erotic hentai game on PC. I imagine Sony will lean far more heavier on those kinds of games than they would for something R-15 / CERO 'C' rated game like Catherine. They'll all be leaning heavier on games where the player directly interacts with a character as that can easily be seen as molestation/rape.

Does somebody has a list with censored games by Sony. I would guess that all of them have sex as their main selling point. I don't know why sony shouldn't censor these games, nothing of value will be lost.

Maybe yes, maybe no. It won't affect the decision on whether Persona games will stay exclusive to PS or not. Because looking at modern Japanese video game market, it should be obvious that every Japanese publisher wants to put their games on Switch unless they have some deal preventing them from doing so. In other words, if next Persona game is multiplat, then it would mean they don't have any exclusivity deal with Sony. If it is not, then it would mean that they have some kind of exclusivity deal with Sony. Censorship won't affect their target platforms decision at all.

Immersiveunreality won that arguement flawlessly.
Seriously all this over blown reactions, and need for senseless censorship should just stop.

I hate when nintendo does it, but I can understand with them because their company is more aimed at a younger audience.
But sony shouldnt follow nintendo's footsteps in this matter.
Let the gamers that buy games decide if they want a game or not, and let the guys working on the game make them as they want.

He really didn't since he doesn't have the PS4/PSV versions in hand for comparison but I'm not too surprised since this site is suffering from two different groupthink after coming from the last thread ...

We especially don't know what will happen in the case of Catherine's phone mail ...

The point is that he cannot claim it is censored when we have no evidence to show for it so its rather foolish to judge them for that, and yeah none says they should not be judged if they do it but too early to know right now..

I do not know why you are pulling "groupthink" into this and surely not when it involves commenter's wanting facts before they believe this and that should be a positive thing or can you elaborate on that part cause it reads a bit vague?

It will if publishers don't want to put up with Sony's shenanigans.
