Bomba confirmed

It was already planned for the Black Friday digital sale even before launch, so no, it doesn't confirm that it bombed.

If we see the physical version drop below $60 on Friday then we can call it a bomb, as no sale on Fallout 76 was advertised for black friday at any of the retailers, which would mean the retailers added it at the last minute to clear out excess stock.

The game has been discounted to 40 already after a week? It didn’t bomb..it got nuked!

digital foundry just wants to get people to watch the videos. More people are going to watch videos if they say PS4 in the title then if they say Xbox one.  There is a very heavy incentive to use PS4 to get clicks, and no incentive whatsoever to make PS4 look bad.

I've also come to greatly disliking their PC editor Alex, simply because I find him lazy as hell when it comes to talking about actual PC games and tech. So he just chooses simple things like AA settings or PS4/X1 vs PC content. DF are honestly not the kind of guys I would go to for proper PC/Xbox content tbh.

Alex Battaglia is an amazing addition to the team and slowly becoming my favourite person in the team.

His an der Richard’s Video about RTX in BFV is amazing.

One last noteworthy thing that makes the solo experience much better. The loot drops are unique, like Destiny, not shared like Borderlands. So you don't have to worry about teammates or other online players in the same area as you stealing all of the loot near your location.

I was tempted today, CAD 50 on BF. Still a bit much to then have to watch my internet usage to afford to download the patch. I imagine it will be down a lot further in the new year. GT Sport is already down to CAD 20... No rush since I only want to play it by myself anyway :) I did see other people buy it today together with CoD. It still has the name to sell.

Yeah, it's a third off everywhere.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

Wow..... It actually went under 50 metacritic...

PS4 = 49 metacritic now (with 23 reviews)
XB1 = 48 metacritic now (with 21 reviews)

I was worried that reviewers would be scared to give it a honest review (cuz its bethesda + AAA).
Looks like I worried for no reason.

Yeah, that patch is ridiculous, Bethesda really needs better programmers. There is no good reason why a patch would need to replace 40 GB of already downloaded files.

It's the old engine.  It uses archive files that do not work well with binary patching.  So they resort to full file replacement.  Even though i'm loving the crap out of this game this gen should seriously be the end of this engine.

If your useing old engine and old tools to do things they wherent ment to do....  You cant really put all the blame on the programmers.
The people at the top (the leadership) made choices that took them down this path, and should shoulder most of the blame imo.

Sadly it looks like Starfield will still be using Creation, as it already has several years of development at this point, it's too late to change engines now. Though at least Todd did say they would be remaking alot of the engine for Starfield, maybe this is something they fixed while remaking it. There is some hope for TES 6 changing engines at least, it should still be early enough in development for an engine change to be made, hopefully seeing so many critics shit on the Creation engine in these Fallout 76 reviews will convince them to either switch to idTech or build a brand new engine from the ground up for TES 6.

About time, but they could have planned a far smoother transition. This is a clear example of greed backfiring: they posponed a new engine development and deployment for too long to save some money, but they'll lose more from misses sales.
Well, if we want to see the glass half full, we can say that its typical graphics keep Bethesda out and far away from the Uncanny Valley. On the underdeveloped side, yes, but let's not be too pernickety.

This Q4 really has been one for shitstorms first with Blizzard over the whole Diablo Immortal debacle not Bethesda has joined in with their refund chaos.
