To the Moon

When it comes to emotionally impactful storytelling in video games, few games have managed to do that particular aspect as well as To the Moon. Storytelling in video games in general has often taken a backseat to other elements in video games, but when a game gets its writing and story just right it can result in some of the most powerful moments across all mediums. To the Moon is one such rare example where everything else in a game serves its story and characters, and the end result is a wonderful experience that will stay with me for a very long time.

Unfortunately none of those are correct.

#50 Guardian Heroes - Xbox 360

One of many classic Treasure games, an excellent 2D beat em up, nice and challenging, with a variety of playable characters to choose from and lots of replayability with branching paths based on choices that makes you play through a lot of different scenarios across each playthrough with different endings as well. And its incredible OST make for one very memorable experience.

#49 Custom Robo Arena - NDS

A very underrated franchise from Nintendo, the premise of the gameplay is a fighting arena, some with multiple mechanics sprinkled in, where robos fight each other, is a real time action game with tons of customization options, from main and sub weapons, versatility options with their boots and backside, with a lot of different types of attacks, from long range and slow but powerful, rapid fire, proximity based bombs, is just a ton of fun, all of this topped with a really good story mode with a lot of memorable moments, is all good stuff.

#49 Shovel Knight

Shovel Knight is probably the most iconic indie game, with dozens of cameos in various of other games, even reaching enough popularity to become an assist trophy in the latest entry of the Super Smash Brother series. (It even got an amiibo) With it still getting brand new content Shovel Knight continues to be a big success.

#48 Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3

The third title in the Naruto Ninja Storm series which got released along side it's previous two entry's on the Nintendo Switch during when I was in the height of watching the entire Anime series for the first time. So I had no hesitation to get this along side the other two games day one of it's release on the Nintendo Switch eShop due to my blind love of the Naruto series alone and I had an enjoyable experience playing as characters from one of my favourite Anime series.
