It's sad that a party that openly tells their supporters to harass Republican party staffers and make them uncomfortable, condones mob violence and then threatens the American people telling them that civility can return only once they are given back power would be given any kind of political victory by the people in this election. Americans beware, this taste of blood will only embolden the criminals in the Democratic party to get far more extreme and civility will not return. This election was a chance to really seal the coffin on the Democrats but unfortunately it looks like we will be taking the far uglier road.
It will be the ugly road for the Republicans, the demographics shift is turning against them as time goes on and they're not going to be able to "demonize" groups of minorities for much longer. Trump's brand of politics is more of a dying last gasp of frightened old people and I doubt they will be able to find another TV personality once his 70-something-year-old ass washes out from the White House.
An organized response is condoned when you have literal Neo Nazis marching on the streets, and yes they will always be met in force because that's the only way to deal with that kind of scum. You forfeit the right to "civility" when you're dog whistling to Nazis, putting children in cages, etc. etc. The Republicans are the ones that have shifted to the extreme ever since the Tea Party, welp, there will be an response from the other side. One side can't be the one always asked to compromise and be reasonable while the other side has lost their damn mind, and many Republicans even admit the right has gone off the deep end.
Trump's era will end and then there will be a dilemma for the Republicans because the fact of the matter is the under 40 year old population of the US is overwhelmingly diverse, mutli-ethnic, and much more liberal in their view points than the current Republican base which is literally dying out. As soon as he's out, watch them scramble to try and "rebrand" and disassociate from him just like they want nothing now to do with the Bush-era.
