PS1/N64 generation: I was playing a lot of Zelda and Goldeneye as well as PC a lot. Counter-Strike, Age of Empires and many other gems.

Then, university came my way. I basically skipped PS2/GC days. Then:

PS3/Wii generation: Hours and hours and hours of so many great games.

Then I had many things in my life to sort out. Early PS4 generation basically. Last year I almost didn't play anything.

I hope I can start another peak cycle this November with a new PS4 pro.

2016 to now. I still don't play much compared to most on here. But this is the best time I've had as a gamer. I probably played more back when I was 5-10 years old.

1990-2001. If you missed out on that era, too bad. Most magical time in gaming history IMO.

Age of Empires, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon. I grew up with PC and PS1 and it was a glorious time.

Goldeneye in my early days took many hours away during the breaks and after school 4p splitscreen ofc.
The following years nightfire smash and kart on the gc also 4p splitscreen +halo 8p mayhem
On pc those days also dota the wc3 mod.
Later on brawl and kart on the wii and halo 3 again, call of duty 2
These games we played almost daily for years.
WoW has been a massive timesink untill last month aswell.
My guess easily +2000 hours for the mentioned games each with wow easily triple that , oblivion and skyrim are the only singleplayer games that make a dent in hours
