Do you watch foreign films?

Yes 43 91.49%

No 4 8.51%

Total:47

I thought I'd start this thread because I see this discussion popping up every now and then on other movie forums I frequent.

Anyways, I usually avoid foreign films like the plague for the simple reason that I don't like reading subtitles the whole movie. Sorry, I don't. If I wanted to read text for 2+ hours, I'd read a book. I was gonna watch the movie Veronica on Netflix because I heard it was super scary, but then when I saw it was a foreign film with no dubbing, I immediately backed away.

I almost only watch foreign movies. The ones from the US mostly.

Well i am Norwegian and i only watch American movies and TV-shows so yes

Yeah, I don't really like Finnish movies too much. At the same time, no as well, since I watch so few movies in general. Subtitles have never been a problem to me (well, at least as long as I've been able to read).

I should've said non-Engish/foreign language-speaking movies.

Don't forget anime

Does Hentai count?

Well, being Greek and watching English movies from a young age I have adapted to subs and follow what is going on on the screen. I don't need subs for English speaking films/series anymore but I am watching Anime/Japanese films and some other foreign films (Spanish,Norwegian.French etc).

I don't watch a lot of movies, but when I do they're often foreign (due to the small amount of films that are being made here). I don't mind subtitles since I'm used to them. I don't like dubs though, except for animation movies.

I almost exclusively watch foreign movies because I don't really like german cinema, it's most of the time boring and lacking in many ways compared to the cinema from other countries but I watch most of these foreign movies with german dub. It is very rare that a movie does not have a German dub these days.
If a movie doesn't have a german dub I watch the english dub, I don't really care for original dub most of the time but if only subs are available I will watch movies with english or german sub.
the only exceptions are anime, I watch almost all of them with japanese sub and english or german sub, everyone who watches anime knows why.
