800k on the quarter (12 weeks) revision, so about 75k per week on average, and the difference Switch had was like lower than 30k. So if we really look at it, Switch haven't won a week WW this year as far as I remember.

Easy enough to check, just go through the hardware tool. Switch has won 3 out of 41 weeks according to current VGC figures.
January 6th, Switch won by 0.3k July 14th, Switch won by 10.2k July 21st, Switch won by 6.9k
Totals for 2018 up to October 13th:
PS4: 10,453,132 Switch: 8,068,054

Than why did it win last December?

New console.
This Holiday Season Sony have more powerfull AAA titles to bundle, and more margin on Hardware revenue and can be even more aggressive. You will see.

It's crazy. This holiday they have rdr2, god of war, spiderman, bo4 and fortnite which wasn't as big last holiday. Not to mention other titles like bfv, oddessy, detroit and monster Hunter. This year has been generous. A lot of reasons for consumers to buy a ps4 or pro.

So basically you're saying Sony has to give away their hardware to be able to compete with Smash and Pokemon this holiday? Interesting...

Yeah give it away in exchange for money. It's how business works. And there's no other console better at it then playstation this gen. Possibly ever.
