Playstation doing so much load carrying for Sony, and to think they scoffed at Ken Kutaragi in the beginning.

Solid quarterly results. Sony's comments are basically saying, "Wow, we are still selling so much despite no price reductions? Well, guess we won't need to drop the price. Thanks for the money"


Hardware sell through was 53.4m as of Jan 1, 2016 when shipments were at 57.1m, a difference of 3.7m.

Hardware sell through was 73.6m as of Dec 31, 2017 when shipments were at 76.5m, a difference of 2.9m.

 

It might need a slight adjustment but nothing major.

PlayStation is Sony, the rest of their products become more and more irrelevant every quarter. Sony is killing their TV and Phone business with Android. I have went over this every quarter for years, and it just gets worse and worse. Why they let Sony Electronics run another company's Operating System, and push other company's services over their own, while they bleed money and loose sales, will never make sense to me

I love my Sony XBR65X900E 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV.  One of the the best televisions released in 2017 for its price and still holds up.  That's all I have to say.

It's going to be the fastest home console to reach 100M sold no? and without huge discounts like PS1 or PS2.

PS4 will end being the best console ever, in quality and quantity of exclusive games and by profits by far.... I wasn't so sure 2 or 3 years ago, but now i am. And games like TLOU Part II or Death Stranding among others are yet to come out....bufff.

Sony makes great TVs, they come at a premium though which is why Samsung dominates the market IMO. They also make the best budget headphones IMO, the type of quality you can get in a $20 set of Sony cans is pretty good.

Yep I agree on their TVs....great Tvs indeed just that premium price. And it sucks that Samsung Dominates the Market when the LG OLED TVs are better IMO. And yes Sony Headphones.....you get great quality and sound.

Not surprised to see Sony up the forecast of the PS4....IF they do a good price cut I think they will smash that forecast for sure.
