Can anyone detail what this is/involves or requires of the developers?

Absolutely HATE censorship and if this is the way Sony is going to move forward then i guess i will eventually just move on to PC gaming for most of my games and will only use my PS console for whatever worthwhile exclusives it may have.

Its gonna be hard to fight this since i imagine the group of people affected isnt big enough to make a stand against this, not to mention they probably all have already bought a PS4 by this point in the gen so Sony already got their money.
Right now there arent many games affected by this policy on the console but if in the future all games affected by it start tanking in sales on the PS4 due to public rejection, maybe then something will be done.

Depending on how bad this may end up being the PS4 might be the last console i buy from them, PC and Nintendo certainly cover all the games i want (except for the very few PS exclusives that i care about).

Nintendo controlled content back in the NES days to ensure a kid-friendly environment. They stepped back from it as national age-rating commitees stepped up, to rate games. Nowadays Nintendo instead focuses on strict parental control functions in the system. Switch for instance is the first system that passed certification of the german USK as a completely working age restriction system. With that in place, Nintendo starts to get more relaxed about the contents of the game, if they have correct age rating.

While crass violence is usually OK with american ratings (not with the german stuff though). There are a lot of games out there for violence porn fans.
Sony has been acting like the political moral society dogs since the betamax videotape era. Actually Nintendo were/is doing the same. But looks this time they are getting vicious with it. I thought with the resign of Kaz Hirai things were going to change but seems not. It´s unbeliavable this company could tyranize the whole japanese sector, like who the hell they think they are?
Whatever I´m done with consoles. This pricks think they will do beter with rubish politics but actually is going to be quite the opposite. Maybe devs should stop asking help for distribution with Sony. If they try hard enough, they could sabotage a considerable sector of their bussiness. For example when Team Ninja deicide to censor DOA Xtreme 3 and they refuse it. I just decline to buy a PS4 and for them it worked,with justice. I don´t own consoles this gen.
Besides companies like Evil Arts or Activision with their terrible games, microtransactions and aditional content have turned very annoying and complete turned away form ém. I ask myself if I could be playing games for the rest of my life and the obvious answer was: no. So I sugest to everybody to search for something else to spare yout time. If you try hard enough you´ll fin it and realize that you aren´t chained at videogames like you think today, and nothing esential have lost of your lives. Greetings to all.
