I've been hearing that they were possibly a hoax and harmless.

If they are, then I'm guessing it's some crazy leftist trying to make the right look bad.

Or maybe we can just set the conspiracy theories aside and base everything on factual evidence?

also where was this outrage when some envelopes with white powder was sent to susan collins for voting for kavenaugh? the doxxing of repubicans who voted for kavenaugh?

White powder mail is actually a common occurrence, I am dealing with callouts pertaining to those rather frequently.
Not long ago a letter was sent between two prisons here containing a white lilac scented (Turned out to be Talcom) powder here.

So in we go, closed everything off, cleaned everything up, handed samples over to the police... Everyone went home.

But when it happens to someone who is high profile, then there tends to be more of a media circus around it, it's the way the world goes.

As I've said elsewhere, Trump is just as much a symptom as a cause of the disastrous state of political discourse, however, I believe that he is completely incapable of uniting this country (and unwilling), which is what we need most in a leader.

You can't please everyone all the time. Trump has and will always be a divisive figure.
Although... He has been extremely entertaining to watch from across the pond.

It is widely known there are all kinds of safe guards in place to find things like this(bombs in mail), not one has gone off or hurt anyone, which if it was, it would have already done so, even more suspicious to be honest. too many "coincidences

There are tons of ways for harmful devices to get through domestic mail services, which are generally not scanned unless there's a specific reason. And new ways to circumvent detection are constantly discovered.
Let's stick to that before we resort to conspiracy theories.

There are also tons of diseases/infections/poisons that are naturally found in the environment all around us that cannot simple be "picked up". -  Normally they are harmless due to low concentration levels.

There are tons of ways around the system.

Often it works really well, but generally if something is going to get through it is because there was a series of screw ups in the chain.

CNN has changed their narrative and they had survalliance cameras everywhere. Release the survalliance footage.

Trump is solely to blame. Only his words could lead to violence against his opponents or anyone else.

There is no chance whatsoever that Waters calling for harassment, or Clinton claiming civility cannot exist until the left have power again, in no way could lead anyone to want to incite violence against them or anyone else. Impossible.

Whether it's explosive devices sent to Dems, media, and celebs, or white powder sent to Reps or Trumps family members, none of it is acceptable. This is politics not war, words not weapons.

Don't forget Corey Booker telling the Left to get up in people's faces. Of course, those words mean nothing. It's not like just a year ago a crazy Bernie Sanders supporter, who thought Reps were evil, not just political opponents, tried to kill a bunch of them.

If people are going to call out Trump's rhetoric (rightfully so) from two years ago, which many Reps/Conservatives disliked as well, but ignore several prominent figures from their side who just a week or two ago called for incivility, you are part of the problem. You care more about having a win for your team than you do about your fellow man.

This is pretty much the same story in a star wars book I read... Even the left and the right blaming each other by either claiming it was fake or not. Oh America... You are in political shambles.

Blame Trump is the new Thanks Obama, we've come full circle. Whether the suspicious packages are real or fake, done by the right or the left... doesn't matter, this is not how you should show your discontent with "the otherside".

There's a lot of right-wing terrorism in the US.

And there's everything from denial to support from the right for this. The right talks about how moderate Islamic people need to take care of the extremists, why don't you take care of your own extremists?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Do we have any? From my understanding we don't know whether they were explosive or not.

The right will say Obama is to blame for dividing the country because he said bad things about bad cops bit will fully absolve Trump for years of divisive language.  It only starts at the top if it involves Obama.

True, we can actually go back to Obama for starting it all.  He had the nerve to be partially black, say bad cops should be punished and basically dividing the nation by having barbecues on the White House front lawn.  Trump is a direct reaction to Obama since America thought Obama was going to be this militant black president and he basically was just boring.  We needed someone to actually act like the stereotypical black person so here we are today.

Anyway people just ignore this post as I was just messing with EricHiggins and throwing Trump into everything I do agree side track the OP post.  At the end of the day, for whatever political or non political reason this is happening now, I wonder if we will ever get the full truth of it.

My fault for starting the mess. It was bound to trickle down. It's basic Higginomics.

I felt shorter and sweeter made the point better, but ya, there's more than a just a few people on both sides, over time, that you could point at. That's not the point though.

More evidence of a false flag and that these were not intended to be functional bombs.

Damn, who would've guessed that constantly inciting violence would actually incite violence.

So funny how the Divider in Chief calls for unity.

Did he? Everything I've heard on both ends are just typical aggressive toxic political rhetoric. Nobody said kill or literally crucify the other.
