I actually think it's kind of cool that it comes on two discs, reminds me of the old PSOne days with big RPGs lol... wish more games would do it even if only for the novelty, lol. Also cool that it has a map too.

I'll admit I've actually looked at NOTHING for Red Dead Redemption 2 aside from the first few screenshots they showed off and some animal pictures they posted on Facebook. Not watched any trailers or gameplay or anything, since originally I wasn't interested in it (Despite loving the western setting in general) but as release is creeping closer I'm tempted to actually take a look at it all and get hyped, since I can imagine myself buying it somewhere down the line anyway...

Although another thing I have to admit is I've never finished the first game lol, and the reason for that is because while I was doing my playthrough (Which I really enjoyed), I had the whole game and ending spoiled for me, and whenever I find spoilers, it puts me off wanting to play the game in question, so I just never went back to it... might do that before buying the second at some point.

I envy your naivete of the game, I just can't stop myself from looking for more info's especially if it's a game I've been wanting for along time, and sad to hear about the spoilers, hope you can still enjoy it before the big mama arrives.

All this talk of how great Witcher 3 is..it’s making me feel more like playing my old copy of tw3 rather than picking up RDR 2.

Oh if it's a game I'm really hyped for and looking forward to I'm the same way, I look for as much info as I possibly can lol... just haven't really felt the urge to do so with Red Dead Redemption 2, even though I know I'll end up enjoying it when I play it lol. It's probably due to the fact that it's EXTREMELY rare I play games on launch or even in the launch period. The only game that I've played form 2018 is Spider-Man and that's because I was SUPER hyped for it... aside from that I've been chipping away at 2016/2017 games, lol.

Also, since I see a debate on rather BotW or Witcher 3 is currently the king of open world games, I have to go with Witcher 3. I haven't played BotW yet since I don't own a Switch but from what I've seen of the game on youtube and such, it doesn't hold a candle to Witcher 3. Witcher 3 is the bar that RDR2 will be measured against, Witcher 3 and GTA V of course, since it's Rockstar's previous game.

LOL

Giving an opinion based on YouTube videos.

You can tell alot from a game without actually playing it. What I saw of BotW on youtube, as well as what I read in reviews, told me quite alot. For starters, the weapon durability system sounds awful, Witcher 3 has one as well, but the weapons last a good long while, it is relatively cheap to repair a weapon at any of the many blacksmiths around the map, and you can buy weapon repair kits to take around with you as well. BotW's durability system on the other hand basically makes any weapon you find disposable. Also, from what I've seen BotW is pretty difficult, which is not a positive in my book, I am not one of those gluttons for punishment that play games like Dark Souls. There are plenty of other reasons why I would consider Witcher 3 a better game as well, the increased level of maturity, the likability of it's main characters, the fantastic world design, and of course, the much better graphics. If you prefer BotW that is perfectly fine, but for me at least, the Witcher 3 will be the game that I measure RDR2 against, as Witcher 3 is my GOTG so far.

All that being said, I do intend to try BotW eventually, once I buy a Switch, which won't be until after the rumored redesign/Pro model next year releases most likely.

I can see 100 million+ GTA5-like sales in the long term easily.

94.

Game of the generation for me was God of War, without doubt. I've completed BOTW and the The Witcher 3 and I know they are very different games, but God of War left an immeasurable impression on me.

Went with 91-95, which unsurprisingly, is the most popular pick. I'll say 94 for my personal guess.

This thing is going to be massive. The game isn't out yet and it has 4000 ratings on PSN, that's 4x what BLOPS4 has and that's out a few days and twice what Spiderman has which is put more 6 weeks. I'm expecting GTA5 sales on this one as well as the cross gen double dipping and repeated sales for MP on different platforms. 7 mil, first week easy. Maybe closer to 10 if people are willing to bypass the physical sale for an early preload and reduce stock issues.
